SOLVED XC Phase - no phasing

I think I remember this one having a remarkably tiny spot where the phasing happened. I saw in another post that you bought a matched JFET set from small bear. That’s a good start. Have you double checked all your component values? What’s going on with this joint?

    SOLVED Moonshot Tremolo not tremming?

Glad to hear it! I think there's a way to mark your post Solved so folks don't read through the beginning looking for the problem.

    SOLVED Moonshot Tremolo not tremming?

Can you see the small flat in the plastic on the edge of the LED? See if you can verify if it's facing the right way before you jump to replacing it. You will need to figure out why it's not blinking though. If it IS facing the right way, the next thing I would do would be to triple check all...

    SOLVED Moonshot Tremolo not tremming?

I think he means like this: The LDR disc responds to the light from the LED. The angle affects how much light hits it. The circuit may also not work correctly with the cover off due to light from the room hitting that LDR all the time. The 3mm LED should be pulsing in time with the tremolo...

    "Fumble" Trademark

I agree this seems like a non-issue, and that JHS isn't going after a DIYer for writing Fumble on their pedal, but I do know some folks here have had problems selling things on Reverb that included trade names of cloned items. Maybe that only happens when manufacturers request it, but I think...

    Caesar again

Now I have FOMO for ticking. I just spent some time fiddling to make sure, but I couldn't get any ticking out of it. With a noisy overdrive before it I get a little whooshing because it's modulating the noise, but I think that's a feature not a bug. With a clean signal going in to it it's...

    Ocelot

🤯 This is big news to me. I realize now I've never said this word out loud. Are we saying FRenel like Fennel? Or FrenEl like Farewell?

    Caesar again

22 ga https://www.amazon.com/dp/B010IBY5QU?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_5 I'll concede that stranded can be more robust long term because of the flexibility, but I take the risk for the payoff of no tinning ends, no strands to deal with, and the fact that solid stays where you...

    Caesar again

No ticking! I’ve never tried shielded wire, but I do always route my in/ out wires as far as I can from the pcb.

    Caesar again

Caesar / Walrus Julia Chorus I built one of these three years ago, but gave it away to a cousin who was taking up guitar. Feels good to have one again, and to finish something. This one has been on my bench for months. Hopefully whatever I build next goes faster. I've been having fun with the...

    Nein fuzz volym pot pop

Not sure if what you’re describing is normal, but I remember being confused by the controls on mine. It made more sense once I watched some videos and looked at the Fairfield site.

    Perplexed

Graphics or not, the outside of a pedal is the boring part! I’m mostly interested in the guts. Particularly on a nice stripboard build where there’s evidence of some problem solving and thought. I’m just a pcb-er, but every time I see a nice DIY board it makes me want to make the leap.
