    just confirmed your resistors are correct and the rest of the board... even took your substitutions into account... the 47k instead of 51k.. it's gotta be a wiring issue

    it's very likely you have a short under the breakout board... I see this a lot with new builders trying to fill up the pads with solder.. it wicks under and creates a solder bridge under the board... I'm guilty of doing the same when I first started. I dont use breakout boards because of this...

    I hear ya... obviously it's not a have to have but sure is nice to measure exactly what you have in your hand.. especially for germanium transistors

    yeah a solid joint should wick to the other side and fill the pad.. could be one of your issues... plus the tranny pinout could be your major issue... all else looks pretty decent

    The areas circled in red are not quite soldered all the way... you didnt get full solder wicked to both sides of board and these could be cold joints.... Just trying to help but you need to give it another second longer to wick through.

    some of the issue is soldering..... What exactly is it doing? Do you have bypass signal.. led light working etc etc

    I see you ran some shielded wire for output jack.. was this you trying to alleviate the clock noise?? do you have the shield to that wire connected to ground?
