    Perplexed

Graphics or not, the outside of a pedal is the boring part! I’m mostly interested in the guts. Particularly on a nice stripboard build where there’s evidence of some problem solving and thought. I’m just a pcb-er, but every time I see a nice DIY board it makes me want to make the leap.

    Good luck @zeropluszero

Another great read in strip board layouts! You’ve been on a roll with these. Have you been putting these in pedals? Rocking before you box? Your finished stripboard work is always nice to look at if there are pics…

    Muffin fuzz quit working

My money would be on something off-board. Footswitch, jacks, those wired pots maybe. Sounds like a great job for an audio probe. Do a search here for how to build / use one if you don’t already have one.

Why does nobody use these outtie DC jacks?

I had a couple of those that had intermittent contact problems. The big innie jacks from Tayda are my preference. The contacts in the larger jacks (innie or outie) seem like a more robust design to me.

    SOLVED Woodpecker q3 not oscillating

I had the same experience with the 2n6027 in my woodpecker. I forget if I got my first one from eBay or amazon, but it passed sound and didn’t oscillate like you’re describing. Replaced it with one from Mouser and all was well. Good luck!

    Moonshot LDR

Like Betty I've had good luck tweaking LDR orientations and gaps to dial in some tremolos. Just make sure you solder them floating up off the board a bit so you can bend to adjust without having to desolder anything.

Looks like all your ICs are in upside down to me.

Cannon Fodder (Caroline Wave Cannon) Build

The washer under the LED bezel is nice touch. I don’t think I’ve seen that before. I might borrow that. 14 inch buffing wheels must make pretty quick work of that polish job. How often do you have to dunk the enclosure to keep from burning your hands?

    Pyrite Fuzz

Why you putting dykem on your enclosures? I remove dykem with dykem remover! Mostly acetone and a little overpriced, but very convenient for dispensing small amounts which is nice for not stinking up the whole shop.

Stuff you wanted to know but were afraid to ask

You were afraid to ask that? I feel like that’s half of what we talk about around here. 🤣 1.6mm chisel, 750f

I miss a pad sometimes, but I always catch it when I'm trimming the leads.

    Hand-Drilling Nobelium

I got this one from @drew.spriggs and used it along with the other file for the top face and it worked out good. https://forum.pedalpcb.com/attachments/nobelium-top-face-pdf.99682/ Thread 'Nobelium' https://forum.pedalpcb.com/threads/nobelium.28644/

    Distortr Problem

If I’m reading the build doc right, this is r18 and should be 82ohm, but looks might be an 82k.

Stuff you wanted to know but were afraid to ask

Team fold and solder. Quit putting the wrong parts in the holes and you’ll be fine! 🤣

Something is goofy with like button

It does seem like it’s on a hair-trigger lately on my phone. I can usually manage to change from the thumb if I fiddle with it though.
