I STILL have to try the chop shop. I’m running a Bad Cub 40 with EL34s but it’s undoubtedly Vox voiced but can get into pseudo black face tone but with more presence.

So I have 2 pcbs left of this project if anyone wants one.

I didn’t notice any spikeyness in my through my amp but I play all Strats with low out single coils mainly. I don’t recall a 750pf being on this project I’m wondering if I substituted it. I do however thing there’s a 750pf cap on the Hot Teacher project and haven’t been able to find one anywhere.

Finally got around to trying this one. This IS ZZ Top in a box. Layout by @szukalski and mods by @Chuck D. Bones and @HamishR I do believe. Please correct me if I’m wrong. This is a nice and different drive with the clipping provided by the op amp only. Feels great under the fingers and works...

I always feel like my 1N5817s are gonna do something like this. I’ve tried them from everywhere and they’re always a tight squeeze.
