last question cause its the last thing I gotta wire up. If I didn't want to use the expression pedal option do I leave it alone ? (the solder pads for the expression pedal) or Do I put a link in there to jump the tip and ring solder pads?

In the picture I uploaded I've circled some 1uf caps. 1 1 - Can anyone identiy what kind of 1uf caps these are (my guess silver mica?) 2 - Can I sub them with 1uf multi layer ceramic caps? I don't have a schematic for this Maybe give me best and worst case scenarios using mlcc caps in place...

I want to etch this board but am unsure what the small solder pads that don't seem to connect to anything are for. Are they necessary? My guess was they are vias to connect one side of the board to the other but this is a single sided board so I don't know . Can anybody clue me in?

How would I go about wiring a spdt switch for this. I'm not sure which wire would go to on the switch on the other hand I thought of putting sockets in and using jumper wires for possible switching modes . Would that work also?
