DEMO My most asked question, it's not what you think!

I'm definitely not a pickup snob but they do have their own thing that works well clean and driven. PUNCH and CUT. Very dense and clear single notes that don't get too cluttered or smudged when you hit a big chord. I am amazed at the build quality from the G&L locking tuners down to the dual...

DEMO My most asked question, it's not what you think!

The Comanche of course. Swamp Ash Maple and Rosewood. Trying to get these pups to shine again.

DEMO My most asked question, it's not what you think!

I gotta say I love my Jake Blade. It's a lot more musical in my hands than a full trem arm. Subtle shifting is what it does really well at the cost of limiting your dive bombs which is not an issue for me personally. Works really well for the dual fulcrum thing. My G&L just started a long...

    Biggus Dickus PTP think-along

I love it. This would maybe be a case where having your ground line go physically around the entire circuit could be useful. You're gonna need to ground like 30% of the components so having that ground thought out or at least easily accessible all over the circuit is gonna be critical. I...

    Chop Shop Overdrive (Second Build)

Congrats to you and your friend! You definitely nailed the Fairfield aesthetic. I need to revisit this build. Mine adds something strange to the mids that I really don't like, but with how people talk about this drive pedal I wonder if I did something wrong. My only (constructive?) criticism...

How Did This Happen? - Acid Rain Fuzz

I've never seen a PedalPCB project with the knobs oriented upside down like this. I imagine every build will orient the pots the other way round unless specifically noted. The schematic and ground pads would be good indicators as well.

DEMO It's just a Phase (Polytrog & Bloodstone)

These are some beautiful noises. Much approved

    Harmonic Percolator

Looks very pro. Is that a 10mm LED? What color is the light? Stepping on that would be a dream come true.

    Moonshot Cap Voltage

Electrical tape is another option that keeps some grip too.

    Moonshot Cap Voltage

A quick word to the wise on those clampy PCB holders you have pictured, be careful because the teeth can bite and scrape through the masking exposing the copper pours beneath. Generally not an issue but it can open the door to some problems. Mine have some rubber nubs that I use to avoid this.

    Repairing an old Pearl Distortion

Could be the angle but one of those caps that's laying down looks like it's bulging. +1 for inspecting the electros.

Reeves ZO clone (point to point)

Your attempt beats my first one by a longshot outside and in. I completely agree it's a weird zen feeling as you watch the circuit complete itself before your eyes.

    Triad Distortion: no sound

Can you verify your input signal is soldered to the 3PDT breakout? I assume it is but I can't tell from the photo. Can you see flow through on any of the socket posts?

    observation with Germ diodes yesterday

I believe germanium diodes in soft clipping arrangements can cause some level issues due to leakage. But the klon uses hard clipping and should be relatively immune to that issue. Did you test the diodes?

DEMO Cast Iron Overdrive (Lollar Overdrive)

Didn't even realize that I had compared the schematic of the Lollar to the lightspeed rather than the Timmy... Brain was on Autopilot.

DEMO Cast Iron Overdrive (Lollar Overdrive)

Haven't got there yet. Comparing schematics there are several differences in the mach1 and lollar. Fixed mids vs. variable. Asymmetric vs. symmetric clipping. How the Tone vs. High is implemented. Opamp choice. Not a hard circuit to breadboard if you want to dive on in.

    Even more new Tayda colors!

    Maxon SD-9 anyone?

    El Sol - Gating Issue

I assume you checked the values for your components. I can't read your resistor stripes or cap values. I don't see any solder on the component side of the 4n7 cap which is fine but maybe something to check if your reflow didn't fix it.

Magnetron - LFO noise in signal?

did you adjust your trimmer? mine has some noisy spots on the trimmer but once i got it dialed in it went away.
