To be fair, the Mutron was developed for keyboard…. The Junk Trunk does play well with guitar. It may not be the spiky quack you lean towards, but as I mentioned it does synthy better than the Mutron.

That’s a cool feature of the Spectron (Lovetone Meatball) it has an effects loop that you can drop whatever into to get that bloom effect w/o having to adjust the sensitivity to a different input level. I will def have to give your suggestion a try

Placed a $162 order yesterday (resistors, caps, pots, boxes, a few NE555s, the works. Cost to ship DHL express was $48. Still worth it for ease of finding what I need vs mouser even though I still have to order a few things through them.

You could try strapping a small capacitor across the power jack terminals. Try 100pf. Make sure your grounding is good. You could try shielded in/out wire with the shield grounded. Probably not a whole lot you can do on such a small circuit.

I would try reflowing/adding some more solder to your pots, they look a little empty on the backside of the board.
