You don't need 3 different 1044, the same is for 1N400x.

    Fuzzdog not shipping to US?

Don‘t get mad about them. They don‘t ship to EU either after the Brexit. Too much hassle with papers and tariffs for them. They are on easy business only. My advice: I have a friend in London who redirect my orders to Germany.

    Twin Face biasing questions

I read anywhere that the R4 resp. R8 are a bit too high with Russian Ge‘s. He recommended 68k in the spot. Anywhere lower than 7v would be okay. I got two black 416 in my stash. They have the lowest hfe readings of all my BARTs. How is yours?

Amplified parts NPN fuzz face range master

White noise means there is no signal from the RM going into the FF. I see you are using thein and out stereo jacks. Just plug in a cable and check with the multimeter where the signal flows.

If it has stabilized, put you finger on the transistor, you will see it countdown again. Spooky!

    Guvernator/Aion fx Equinox output mod?

Like Robert said only little improvements possible. Did you omit C12? This makes it briter and tiny bit louder. If you like the led clipping (middle position) you could a swap with the leds. The reds into D4 and D5, while use blue leds as d2 and d3. Blue leds have higher vf.

    DEMO Germanium Fuzz Face (AC128)

No input buffers. A FF needs a passive guitar impedance to work as intendend or a debuffer circuit with an input transformer, if you want to use it upstream in your signal chain. Old school circuit, y’know.

    Fuzz face trimpot doing nothing

Yes, the schematic is faulty. It should show R4 or the trimpot, as alternative option.

    DEMO Germanium Fuzz Face (AC128)

To my limited experience the pot settings on the FF circuit were more important than different trannies. I swapped different tranny combos around until i found the one. My friend liked the Fuzz pot on fixed point of 80% and opted for input pot instead. This works like the smoothing out with the...

    DEMO Germanium Fuzz Face (AC128)

To my experience hfe 120 is quite high for a Germanium. I could be wrong, i have about 20 russians from 17 to 94. My point is to use a 120 for the second PNP. BTW the hfe 17 is now in a Dragons Breath. The NPN are more expensive and not as easy to obtain, but you could use a PPCB TwinFace board...

    Tonehunter Ralf Reichen

He wrote: I was at Ralf's wife's house and I know this thing... Have fun with it! The finished pedals were all tuned by Ralf. I checked the "finished" ones from the box... without Ralf's tuning, none of them sounded like a Blue Line should. Ralf always did the final tuning, and only the ones...

    Tonehunter Ralf Reichen

Then i would try another BC550C. I had some messages with a guy who visited the widow of Ralf Reichen and saw the pedals in a big cardboard box. He checked those which looked ready, but said they all lacked ‚the final tuning by Ralf‘. Sounds a bit like sprinkling of magic fairy dust to me, but...

    Tonehunter Ralf Reichen

Markus for you info: i just recieved a pic from inside a original Blue Line. It looks like Hermida Audio Zendrive (PPCB) with 2 switches instead of Tone pot. So the Trannies could be 2N7000.

    Tonehunter Ralf Reichen

Robert does not have to see it in flesh. He needs some clear pics from every side (maybe you have to put it out of box) and answer of some questions concerning not clear parts and connections.

    Tonehunter Ralf Reichen

@Markus Kersius : The Blue Line Overdrive was the Pedal of Larry Carlton. Kinda Zendrive / Dumble pedal variant. You see it on Reverb for some hundred bucks. Seems a great idea to share it and maybe others with @Robert. This is a great way to preserve Ralfs heritage for the Future.

Distortr / Distortron low end mod /sub switch question

My band mate had the original pedal. I offered him to mod it, but he decided to sell it. The 3 settings go from 56 (middle) to 103 and 876 nF. We planned to change c7 to 10nF and c8 to 56nF. Best to use pin adapter on this spots and try different values.
