    Beatle Juice Fuzz diode question

I did not. Thought I start with the A10k and lower the value with a resistor across the lugs if needed But 10k worked fine

    Beatle Juice Fuzz diode question

The A10k on the volume put is definitely the ticket. Fixed the problem for sure. Thanks for the feedback

Pedals sound great but get occasional hissing

I can always pull the boards and post pics

Pedals sound great but get occasional hissing

No pattern on either pedal. Just starts hissing occasionally. Sometimes if I stomp on the switch on/off several times it goes away. Makes me think I should resolder all the joints one more time. Only hisses when pedals are on. The hiss stays unless I hit the switch several times or unplug and...

Pedals sound great but get occasional hissing

As a follow up: I've tried both pedals with different power bricks and in a couple of different places in the house. Also where we rehearse. I did see mention of poor solder connections. I think my soldering is pretty good but... should I consider pulling the boards and re-hitting all solder points?

Pedals sound great but get occasional hissing

Two of the pedals I've built will sometimes hiss when engaged: Pharmacist and Whipped Cream. I've built 3 Pharmacist and this is the only one I've had issues with. The Whipped Cream sounds great but can't put either pedal on the board because the hissing is unpredictable. I've checked all my...

    Soul Drive Pots and LEDs

Gotcha. Thanks for the feedback. I'm on it.

    Soul Drive Pots and LEDs

Building the SoulDrive. Robert mentioned using a B1M for the drive pot in one version and a B500k in another version. I've got A1M stamped on my board. Can I get some feedback on this? Also, I'm assuming that I need to use Red for the 2 clipping diodes. Is that correct?

    Will do. Thx👍

    Beatle Juice Fuzz diode question

I tried the resistor approach across the B10k. Initially felt there was an improvement but now not so. I will replace with the A5k and get back to you. Thx💪

ok I will definitely socket and compare the two. Thx💪

    Salesman Diodes question

Building the Salesman now and I don't have any 1N60P diodes. Will a 1n34a or a BAT 46 work as a replacement?

Schematics 101: How To Determine Which Resistors Bias Each Transistor?

The Beatle Juice fuzz. Love it but it's hard to find the sweet spot on my board since it goes from 0 to 10 right around 9 o'clock

I followed the build doc with a B10k

Schematics 101: How To Determine Which Resistors Bias Each Transistor?

Hey guys, fairly new builder here. Got a volume pot question. The volume really explodes at 9 o'clock so it's a bit difficult to dial in the volume. Any suggestions on how to get a more even taper?

Just started building the Soul Drive and I’m also curious about the TP1 on the board. Can anyone chime in on this?

    Beatle Juice Fuzz diode question

Put a 10k resistor across the volume pot to lower it to a 5k. Worked great. Lot more control over the sweep instead of exploding at 9 o'clock.

    Beatle Juice Fuzz diode question

I did mention the idea of using a 1k volume pot instead of a 10k based on Robert suggesting a C1k replacement on the... hmmm I can't remember which pedal (it was a fuzz pedal I'm sure) to give more travel as you turn up the volume, instead of it exploding at one end or the other. I'm not far...
