    Heat Shrink Size

Just buy this for $6.99 and you never need to worry about the size of anything. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0BG6V4HV4?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

    Nutty Fuzz: Planning a build

I bought a cheap caliper from Harbor Freight and did my measurements with that. I absolutely love this circuit/pedal, but it's a bitch to tame. The oscillation is totally out of control. If you're not using an expression pedal/slider, you've lost all control. Even then, it's still an untamed beast.

    Volume Pedal

Looking to do project this weekend and want to use an empty wah shell to make a passive volume pedal. I use mostly humbucker guitars with 500k pots. What would be a proper value pot to use in a passive volume pedal? Also considering throwing a GPCB Afterburner in there and using that as the...

    Understanding Potentiometers

I read the Life of Pots within the 1st week of getting into pedal building, almost 2 years ago.....and read it again.....and again haha. I appreciate any and all information. Learning on the internet is hard for me. I'm better doing it in person, because I always end up with so many questions...

    Which Zener?

@Robert thanks for clearing that up. Always learning!

    Which Zener?

So if a circuit has a zener diode over 9v, that allows for protection to run the pedal at higher voltage, like 12v?

The heck is going on inside Jam Pedals Eureka?

Sweet lawds would I love a trace of the Wahcko

Awesome! That's totally making more sense now.

    Understanding Potentiometers

So decreasing a pot gives me tighter more refined control over a circuit? Or am I getting this totally backwards?

How long does PedalPCB typically take to restock something sold out?

Great news Robert, always appreciate your hard work a ton. The circuits I've built from your collection have drastically changed the way I play and have given me tons of new inspiration for recording new music I probably wouldn't have created without the circuits you've traced and I've built.

    Understanding Potentiometers

Can someone help me understand Potentiometers better? I see people doing mods, which I have also done myself, by replacing existing pots with those of different values to achieve different effects. What does that actually mean? For example, what does replacing a 100k pot with a 500k/25k...

How long does PedalPCB typically take to restock something sold out?

I hear ya! Man...... I had the Dark Rift Delay in my cart with some other jams and was waiting for the BF coupon to come out. Went to place my order this morning with the coupon and of course the Dark Rift is sold out. Now it sits in PPCB purgatory forever. Missed my chance..... Also been...

Guitar Build Wood Screw Disaster... Help?

    HOLY F*UK that's expensive!!! Wow.......

Which soldering iron do you like?

I have used the Harbor Freight Schneider $40 temp controlled soldering iron for a year and I've more than gotten my money out of it. Haven't once considered"upgrading". Of course there are better ones out there, but damn have I been surprised by how well it has work for me. Still on the same tip...

    What's on the workbench?

You mean like BYOC's Crown Jewel? It allows you to drop in different boost modules, pretty cool feature. Although of course they are sold out of all of the good ones.........bummer

    Boteh Drive (Wampler Paisley)

Yeah, that's probably exactly why I like it so much is because of how "amp-like" it sounds. Great news as well @MichaelW and @Robert, definitely will keep an eye out for more Ethos from here, if that's the case. Got a ton of beyond love for PPCB, this has completely changed my approach to music...

    Boteh Drive (Wampler Paisley)

The Derailer is definitely up there with one of my favorite circuits I've built from this site, it just sounds beyond stellar with my rig. Just fed it into my OCD clone (also from PPCB, also did a ton of mods to it), then into the General TSO, and with a touch a reverb, I just found my new...

    Capacitors

I've found that capacitors have the biggest effect on the tone of the pedal. Since they all test so wildly different (some are +/-20), I make sure I always test them before putting them on the board. Big fan of adding capacitors to a dpdt toggle to have different tonal options when building a...

Your best/favorite high gain pedal combo's of today

@djmiyta Tube pedals are pretty cool. Definitely enjoy building them more than regular circuits. It's fun using components that are not normally used and seeing your pedal glow through the heat vents is a cool feature. Designing the enclosures is challenging, but all part of the enjoyment of the...

Your best/favorite high gain pedal combo's of today

Gotta box it up, but just ran an Uber Tuber, into a Tube Screaming Ultra, into a Stage 3 Boost. This monster beast of a pedal screams. Also built the Archibald tube pedal a few months back. The Uber has it's own character and I love them both. Got two more tube pedals to build (Sushi Box) and...
