    Sugarbag: "Fat Bee-Eater Overdrive"

Well, I suppose both could be fat :). But I can see how it's confusing! Glad the pedal's looking professional. I think it's kinda tricky to really get a professional appearance when you're not designing in a minimalist style.

    Sugarbag: "Fat Bee-Eater Overdrive"

This is my build report on the Sugarbag, a version of the Beetronics Fat Bee overdrive. I decided to build this pedal after seeing some recommendations. I previously built the Dirt Dauber (Whoctahell) and like the sound of that, so I was also interested in a second Beetronics pedal. I'd highly...

Looks great! Are those enclosures etched?

SOLVED Chop Shop voltage only get up to 3v with trim pots maxed

@temol I tried your process on the V2 board and it worked - the only difference is that the sag knob must be CW. As @Locrian99 said, it's counterintuitive that the so-called sag knob is actually the inverse: turning CW decreases sag but increases voltage (as measured at pin 1 of the sag knob on...

SOLVED Chop Shop voltage only get up to 3v with trim pots maxed

For what it's worth, I'm seeing the same problem. With gain and volume maxed, and sag fully CCW, and grounding my DMM against the DC jack's ground, I only get 4-4.8v, and the volume is very low at max, barely unity. My J201s are SMDs adapted for through-hole, bought from Aion, so I think they're...

    Woodpecker: "Calypte Tremolo"

This is a report on the Woodpecker Tremolo, based on the EQD Hummingbird. Since I only got into pedals and pedalbuilding this year, this was one of the first I heard about as an "unusual pedal" and tried in a local store, and part of my first order from PPCB. I thought the effect was fun and the...

Few different pedal builds on eyelet & stripboard

Very clean designs and the eyelet boards are so unique!

Ooh, I like calling it an eyrie!

6-Band Eq (slider edition): "6-Band Eaglizer"

What a fun build! This is a report on the 6-band EQ, a generic equalizer (not based on any particular pedal). I selected this build because I want my entire pedalboard to be homemade, and feel like an EQ is a necessity. Also, I wanted to try a build with sliders. Inspiration I struggled to...

    Mach 1: "Swift Overdrive"

@Feral Feline - yep, shortly after posting this and seeing bronomo's response I started socketing most transistors and diodes, whenever they seem to be components people mod. I just use flush cutters with the 40-pack from Tayda, and about half the time part of a socket is exposed at the cut...

    Mach 1: "Swift Overdrive"

An update here: I was reading some other threads and the Mach One kept coming up as a favorite. I tag all my builds in a spreadsheet, including ones that I consider to be "duds" and I couldn't get out of my head that this pedal sounded pretty different from the demos I'd heard. And I don't like...

    Paragon Mini

Just built a Paragon Mini myself, and I agree - it sounds great. I built it with the warm tone mods. I tried a 4558 chip and couldn't hear a difference

    Trumpeter (mini bone)

The Trumpeter is the most fun that I've had with a pedal in a long time. So brassy! I really like all the options you added - I'll have to add the Moonn breakout board to my next order, very tidy.

    Deflector: "Merlin Reverb"

This is my report on the Deflector, the PPCB version of the EQD Afterneath Reverb. I built this pedal because a bunch of people had recommended it in threads here. Inspiration I really struggled with inspiration. I think this pedal is best described as a "cave reverb." There's a few birds that...

    Beginner looking for advice

I haven't built it, but it looks pretty simple. The components are all easy to source on Tayda, but I'd probably just go with a regular 30 cent NJM4558D chip rather than the JRC4558D. You will not need to read schematics at all (unless you mess up), just put the components where the labels say...

Special Porpoise Fuzz: "Starling Fuzz Tremolo"

A slightly annoying build for a niche pedal. This is my report on the Special Porpoise Fuzz, based on the Catalinbread Antichthon. I got this pedal after looking for weird pedals and finding this video. Inspiration This pedal is most known for the wild animal sounds it makes when the "Gravity"...

    Dark Rift Delay: "Riflebird Delay"

This is my build of the Dark Rift Delay, based on the EQD Space Spiral, a modulated delay. A really fun pedal and a fun build. I saw this recommended in one of the various "favorite pedal" threads, and it had a bunch of positive reviews in the store, so I figured "why not?", and I'm glad I did...
