Need some advice for faceplates design

As a fellow Canadian. I understand shipping can be awful. I had to pay an additional $35 upon delivery of my order. I did order 6 pedals worth of enclosures, drill service, and faceplate/graphics from amplify fun.

Need some advice for faceplates design

So I went through with my amplify fun order. Here’s two of the completed projects. I’m really happy with how they turned out

Tube preamp (do I dare bring up modelers!?!?!?)

I’m not sure if you watch That pedal show, but they did an episode on preamp pedals. Though they used a power amp and speaker cab opposed to direct in or an ir loader. They used the d&m drive, gladio, broadcast, and benson preamp. And they put them against Kingsley pedals that are designed to be...

    Mischief Machine

The pedal, pcb and graphics all look great. But I have to say your photography skills are also on point! I’ve seen/taken a lot of blurry pedal photos. But these are clean and crisp. I appreciate the work you put into every part of the pedal, even the pictures to display your work.

Need some advice for faceplates design

If your going through @amplifyfun the dimensions Spencer told me are 58mm by 113mm for a faceplate. He also answered questions and I think even adjusted a few things on my layout so they’d fit a little better.

    Faceplates from Amplifyfun

Thanks for the advice. I’ll start by trying to use my own template and also use the wealth of info that @dmnCrawler provided. If I find more uses for using a designer I’ll probably buy something, while I have some ideas it’s currently only for pedal layouts

    Faceplates from Amplifyfun

I tried to send my first file to Spencer the other day, he recommended using at least affinity designer. Honestly, I need to make sure I’m determined enough before I spend money on it. I’m using my laptop for designing and don’t have a tablet. Although I thought it was a one time purchase for...

    Two Pandoras... mods?

I don’t have the answer, but here’s a thread on changing bass response. You could always take there advice and add in a high pass filter. However, I’ll see myself out and let the knowledgeable folks chime in https://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=55058.0

    Vfe blueprint with tap tempo

@Bio77 Thanks. I didn't think adding the tap tempo would be problematic, but the board is pretty small, and it took some time to get it sitting right. I haven't built too many pt2399 delays though I have listened to many demos. So far, this is my favourite. I don't have any inclination to build...

    Vfe blueprint with tap tempo

This pedal took far too long to finish... I think it's just shy of 2 years. Anyways, I'm happy I finally finished this one. It's a great sounding delay. The inside is a mess, but the pedal works. I decided to try out the Gorva enclosure because I couldn't think of a better way to waste money. I...

    Powder Blue Overdrive Mockup Pedal

Check this thread @PedalPCB posted a picture with the values on the board. So you can probably make your own BOM from that https://forum.pedalpcb.com/threads/powder-blue-overdrive-r3-blind-as-a-bat.9084/

    Solid or Stranded?

I typically use stranded. I started pedal building on vero, and found that stranded wire was easier to use for the rats nest that inevitably happened.

    6 Band EQ Mods

You can change the frequencies on the eq pedal. Here’s a gyrator eq calculator link http://www.muzique.com/lab/gyrator.htm For each frequency range there are two caps and two resistors. Adjusting those will adjust the frequency. if you look at the schematic pot 6 c5, c6, r10 and r11 set the...
