Looks like they don't have a gain control anymore.... Someone sent one for me to repair a broken input jack recently and it did not have a gain control either.. not sure what version it was but it was fairly new.

oh.. and keep the "Sun" knob in the middle of it's range when setting the bias.. That way you get adjustment to the left and right when using the knob

adjust the clean pot all the way clockwise then adjust the bias to half supply voltage with multimeter...... then do small tweaks to the bias with fuzz knob cranked and volume cranked all the way up to taste.. that's how i set them up..

Just note you can just run wires from the LED spot on the PCB and drill/install the led anywhere you want… Just keep the wires clean! the 4k7 resistor on the PCB is for the led.. as long as that is populated you don’t need another breakout board for that..

yeah.. that's a fairly ambiguous build if your new... Your soldering definitely needs some work.. Don't worry.. you just need some practice. I see a lot... like a lot of cold joints. You should see your solder wick to both side of the pcb... i can tell your not staying in the heat long enough...

Use sockets for trannies In your early builds … dab of hot glue at the legs when your content on keeping them there… That way you can audition and set bias and get used to playing around… later on you’ll start punching them in straight to the board and winging it 😎
