I put a LPB-1 made on stripboard with a trimpot for gain control between the guvernator PCB output and the 3PDT. Just needed a little bit of a kick to increase the output, post-gain as to not alter the pedal's tone.

Another question - is the anode of the vactrol really connected to ground? Several of the DOD 230 gates have the anode tied to pin 7 w/ 10k and cathode to ground, which I would think is normal. Unless we're relying on the inverting input driving negative, which the supply isn't capable of.

That sounds amazing, I need to find something that does the same magic as the super tube screamer, my sd-1 gets the figment close. I ended up swapping the b10k master for an a10k with a 11k in series after the 2.2uf of the output. This gives excellent volume control.
