Charge Pump Noise - Pedal Order Dependent

that's worth a try while I wait for me 1054 chips to arrive... thanks

Charge Pump Noise - Pedal Order Dependent

I’ve had the same issue with a number of Kliche builds. What makes me think that it’s not the Charge pump is, I built a bunch of Aion Klons which also have the 1044CPA chip and I don’t hear the high whistle on those. The problem is very obvious when I use the half speed button on my looper pedal...

    Trouble with Woodpecker

I had a chance to try another 2n6027 and that didn't make a difference. I'll don't think my voltages are correct and will double-check my resistor values again.

    Trouble with Woodpecker

I'm looking for some help with the Woodpecker Tremolo board. I've checked it over multiple times and the resistor values seem to all be correct. Could someone please look it over and maybe compare voltages on their own 'working' Woodpecker? Mine has the original signal but no effect. Here's some...

    Yet another Magnetron

Can you point me to the Oscillation mod you used? Sounds so good I’ll need to mod my Magnetron now. Thanks

    Problem with Nucleus Overdrive

The JFETs are all from Tayda, I know, they may be questionable but I'm not sure how to test them.

    Problem with Nucleus Overdrive

I've had a bit of time to play through the Nucleus and don't think it's functioning properly quite yet. The sound is fuzzy and loose and not at all like the demos I've heard of the Atomic Overdrive, which has more of a hot-rodded Marshall tight distortion sound. I've probed around the circuit...

    Problem with Nucleus Overdrive

Thanks for the help PJS, I figured it out, there was a cold joint at R28 just before pin 5. Works fine now. Appreciate it. Haig

    Problem with Nucleus Overdrive

I checked the voltages on the TL072 opamp: pin 5: 0.37v pin 6: 3.02v pin 7: 8.49v pin 8: 9.13v I don't seem to have continuity between pin 7 and ground. Are you sure that's necessary? the schematic doesn't seem to show that. thanks for helping out.

    Problem with Nucleus Overdrive

Thanks Barry, Yes, I've tried two or three different TL072's same result every time.

    Problem with Nucleus Overdrive

I need some help with this pedal, I've made 5 in a row without any problems but this one has me stumped. The signal sounds great right up until the end of the circuit and then gets really quiet and noisy (ground hum). Here's a gut shot and where I believe the problem is in the schematic. I've...

Anyone build the Nucleus Overdrive yet?

wow, that interactive BOM is slick. Taking it to the next level. thanks

Anyone build the Nucleus Overdrive yet?

i'm also waiting for the schematic, audio signal gets about 3/4 ways through the circuit and then dies, I get hum in at the output terminal.

    Quick Tayda UV Printing Tip

thanks for sharing. I find the clear-coating and cutting the holes a pain in the ass and your method looks sharp.

    Quick Tayda UV Printing Tip

They look great, too bad about that unnecessary layer of white ink. From what I understand from working as a graphic designer way back, you would need the white underlay for colors lighter than the green background color but not for black. Matte looks way more precise to me. Might try Tayda’s UV...

Anyone build the Nucleus Overdrive yet?

Cool, thanks. I already have a bunch of those adapter boards, sounds like a good way to move forward. Appreciate the input.

Anyone build the Nucleus Overdrive yet?

I've just started building the Nucleus Overdrive PCB and I was wondering if there are any good alternatives to the 2N5457 transistor? Tayda have been out of them for more than a month.
