Abyss Univibe - tone is off

Since the Abyss works with LDRs, it needs to be boxed to work properly. LDRs are resistors that react to light and need to be in the dark to work properly. Since the pedal is not boxes, these LDRs are always receiving light and so not working as intended. I am not saying your pedal works, but...

    Low Tide Mini

I don't think so. I think the 125BB is the same height as the 125B, just a bit wider: https://www.pedalpartsplus.com/category-s/125.htm

    Low Tide Mini

Unfortunately, I do not and do not really want to dissemble the pedal to take pictures. If you do this build and get stuck and ned those photos, let me know and I will do the disassembly and take some photos.

    Low Tide Mini

I do not think so -- the enclosure sizes are pretty much standardized by Hammond, and I have never come across taller ones. With that said, you can put this circuit in any enclosure you want, including some of the taller 1590 variants. Heck,my backup plan for this pedal if it did not fit in a...

    Low Tide Mini

No, I just used regular caps -- I did not know that low height caps were a thing until you just mentioned it. This is useful knowledge for future builds.

    Low Tide Mini

Hey All, Since I didn't see a build report for this pedal yet, I thought I would add one to maybe make life easier for the next person who comes along wanting to build this awesome circuit. This is an amazing pedal and I am so impressed and grateful that PedalPB figured out how to fit...

SOLVED Deflector is not Deflecting -- Signal is Defecting

SOLVED! I cannot believe I missed that capacitor screwup. I triple checked the values, but the 2n2 versus 2u2 got away from me. I am happy to say, switching that capacitor fixed it and this pedal is a dream. Thank you so much for all the help -- I was getting very close to abandoning this...

SOLVED Deflector is not Deflecting -- Signal is Defecting

Hi All, I do not have a different program to write to the EEPROM. However, considering that I have tried the program with two different eeprom chips, one flashed by me and the other independently sourced chip flashed by PedalPCB, it seems likely this would only measure whether there is a...

SOLVED Deflector is not Deflecting -- Signal is Defecting

Well poop. Okay, I got the EEPROM .bin filed sent to me. After not having luck getting it working on a Mac, I fired up an old PC. Unfortunately, it does not appear the EEPROM is the problem. I can confirm that the file sent to me was the data on the EEPROM I was using. I still flashed a brand...

SOLVED Deflector is not Deflecting -- Signal is Defecting

Hey All, Long time lurker, first time poster. Have been having a blast building pedals during lockdown. It has been a fantastic way to distract myself from what I should be doing, mainly writing my PhD dissertation. In all honesty, I think I enjoy building the pedals more than even playing the...
