    My First Production Pedal?

Also, charge what you feel is appropriate. I hate people who think all pedals should cost $50 because the parts are "cheap."

    Kliche Overdrive build

Also factoring in the time it takes to research and build a pedal, don't do it because it's cheaper -- it's really not. It's a fun hobby, like knitting for others. Another point is the economy of scale, unless you plan on building a dozen pedals or more, you end up spending a lot more on...

No wonder analog delay units cost an arm and a leg.

    Flux Cleaners

I agree with this and definitely recommend what dan is saying. However, they do sell 100% acetone nail polish remover. I would stay clear of the pink stuff. The only ingredient that I see other than acetone is denatonium benzoate -- alcohol denaturant.

Thanks! I'm going to try this and compare, next time I'm at HomeDepot.

    Flux Cleaners

I don't think it's strong enough. Also, you are technically diluting it with IPA. I just soak a q-tip with this solution and dab and wipe away the residue. I've also left a puddle of this solution on the PCB and haven't damaged any of the labels or other plastics on the components yet. However...

    Flux Cleaners

I mix 91% or greater IPA with pure acetone (nail polish remover), 50/50. The stuff works great and is super cheap. However, after I'm done, I soak it in an IPA bath for few minutes to rinse off any remaining residue that might have been left.

Carbon film resistor for signal chain look ok?

Someone posted a photo/diagram of the carbon comps used in KoT. It only uses them in the top right 3 resistors for each channel -- R6, R10, R9 & R23, R27, R25. Rest may be overkill or imperceivable. At least that's what I did on my build.

    TC Electronics SCF

Actually, it was the straight black one without the purple stripe. I believe the black one replaced the purple and then they discontinued it. This was like 4 to 5 years ago though.

    TC Electronics SCF

I tried the newer ones when they were still in production and sounded amazing to me at the time. I ran a strat into it and out to a Fender Deluxe Reverb. There's something special about this pedal that no other Chorus/Pitch Shift pedal can come close to.

maybe the Coolaudio or XVive remake version? EDIT: Nevermind, the Small Bear version is the XVive repro version. Man, they are pricey.
