    Kliche Mini

    Not so magic anymore.

    Kliche Mini

The other board I have on hand to get started is the Kliche Mini. Just populating the small parts so far. One of the precious, magical, NOS 1N34A Germanium diodes broke bending the legs. The glass just snapped in half. Soldering maybe tomorrow.

    6-Band EQ

I’m waiting for more PCBs to come in but I have a couple to get started on. Not sexy, but useful. This will be the first one I document in real time on the board. So far just populating the pcb with the small components.

Lamb Chop (Way Huge Pork Loin)

I used the data sheet something like this to get the emitter, base and collector oriented correctly and used a few photos, as well as the pedal schematic and followed the traces to connected resistors to double and triple check before soldering them in.

    Akronym Bass Overdrive (EQD Blumes)

This one is the last of that first series that I made! I’ll stop bombarding the forum with my posts for a while! I wanted a straight forward bass overdrive, so this seemed like an easy choice. It’s the stock circuit, but after building this, I realized I could have done the same thing with the...

    Cobalt Drive (Boss Blues Driver)

I was tempted to go straight to modding this build but better sense took over and I built it stock. I think that means I need to make another and do the fat mod and a few other things to it.

    Nobleman (Nobels ODR-1)

Another one that was a classic circuit to crank out in my first series of pedal builds. This one went together as planned with no mods or changing anything from stock. And because I really wasn’t feeling creative on the enclosure design, it had to be identifiable as an ODR-1

    Gerkin (Way Huge Swollen Pickle)

This one is the other half of wanting a Pork And Pickle. Instead of the IC I went with the four 2N3904s, I already had some from another build. Paint and graphics seemed straight forward enough. Gotta get the cat hair off the pedals before photos!

    Glory Hole (JHS Morning Glory)

    It works great

    Cleaver (Keeley Katana)

My wife has a Cricut, so I’ve just been searching for graphics on the design space and then it is cut out of self adhesive colored vinyl. She has the ability to make silk screens as well, but I’m not there yet. Finding a font that is small enough but has enough size to actually transfer has been...

    Median (Wampler Ego 76)

Building a compressor was high on my list and a clean blend was part of my desired features, so the Median seemed an obvious choice. I subbed LM833N ICs instead of the OP1678 chips based on a few threads here. Again, like the couple other simultaneous builds, I wanted to keep the design similar...

    Cleaver (Keeley Katana)

My Cleaver build. Simple, few parts, but very tweakable.

New Back in December, first pedals

I took a couple pictures of the finished pedals. I gave away the Mahayana so it’s just the Alpaca and Muroidea. There is just enough space between the pots and led to squeeze in a DPDT switch on the Rat. The paint was not quite dry when I sprayed the clear coat so the Alpaca has one of a kind...

    Cricut design space?

Lamb Chop (Way Huge Pork Loin)

As a bass player, I was a fan of the Pork And Pickle, so I decided to make one of each. I went with the original transistors, and while I can read a data sheet, I have to say a big thank you to others on this forum for posting their builds. I was hesitant of the pinout and orientation of the...

    Glory Hole (JHS Morning Glory)

Here’s my build. I kept it stock and wanted to keep it aesthetically similar to the original so I went with the gold hammered paint, cream knobs and a graphic that was close enough to a Roman candle.

    Tommy III

After I built the first couple pedals, I jumped full in and started building standards in the basic food groups of pedals. Here’s the first of several that I started in December but just recently finished with paint and graphics. The Tommy III is a Timmy, so I took the claymation route.

New Back in December, first pedals

I just got into building pedals back in December and then moved in January, so now that I’ve got a few things completed, I figured I’ll say hi, and share what I’ve done. For my first pedals I build an Alpaca, a Mahayana, and two Muroidea Rat pedals. A friend of mine’s rat stopped working and I...
