Sheepy Love GS808 (Vintage Dual OpAmp TS808)

    UPDATE up Top.

    Red Big Muff sounds bad

I picked these up as well, and have had no problems in a couple of builds.

    Where are people getting potentiometers?

All of my cases are symmetric (so far) so I usually lay the pots out on the outside of the case, using the case as the holder but not tucked where I have a hard time reaching

    Where are people getting potentiometers?

Another Coloradan! Tayda as well. This is the one component where they are my first choice. I usually by the Taiwan Alpha variants. I have never had a bad pot, but tend to stick with brands I know (Alpha and Bourns)

What are the most rugged 1/4" jacks people are using?

These are my preferred as well. They do take up a little bit more space but I like that they are closed bodies

Can someone help me with running two LEDs in a pedal?

Y’know, I started messing with electronics in the 70’s and have burnt out more than a few LEDs, but earlier this fall I actually had LED explode when I unintentionally shorted the resistor. First time that’s ever happened to me…

    EOL parts thread

As global as we are, it's interesting how a single plant makes the difference in the supply of what seems like a pretty high-volume product. This is probably the same film that hit WIMA large film caps, too. I wonder if there are actually issues running the PET film at the necessary thickness...

    How do you ship pedals?

Just catching up here. Getting cartons and shippers made to specific dimensions is a pretty common thing for manufacturing and they aren't that pricey (I could check COGs for stuff we use, but I am guessing chipboard cartons at $0.10-0.25 each and cardboard maybe more. I wonder if this is not...

Mach 1/ Blue Breaker combo stack

Really like this. Nice to see you can squeeze this all together in one box.

Gigantic Sauce Container (Way Huge Saucy Box) - Snakeskin SMD Edition

Really nice, and the snake-skin is sweet. I hope that my first PCBs are as good as this

Big Muff Pi on a breadboard - passes signal until power is applied.

Howdy - It looks like you are using the buses as they are labelled (Blue - as ground, Red+ as 9v). I think your output volume pot's pin 3 is connected to the +9V instead of the ground.

    PS Terrier Review rev 2

I have finished my build of a revised Terrier Review, ProCo Rat copy built on the PedalPCB Muroidea Distortion (2025 update). Mods I may have learned a few things since my first build, in which I strictly painted-by-numbers. I breadboarded the circuit before I built it to evaluate alternative...

Adding Parallel Out to Empyrean Deluxe

I have the MicroXLR for the balanced output, yes. I am curious about the third output, called the parallel on the Darkglass Alpha Omega that is just a pass through of the input signal. The pass through output isn't showing in the tracing journal, so I am guessing it's just wired straight from...

Adding Parallel Out to Empyrean Deluxe

I am building the Empyrean Deluxe from AionFX for someone else, and they wanted to have the XLR and parallel output from the original. The parallel out isn't shown on the tracing journal for the Darkglass Alpha Omega (or I am getting lost in the spaghetti). Is it really as simple as just running...

LED always on in Trembling Loon

I think this is the reason - you could also add a resistor or use a lower output LED to adjust the external LED's brightness.

    Ohl Junction #2

My skills with a crimp tool exceed my skills with a soldering iron? But seriously, you have a valid point - I prefer to be able to work on the pedal outside of the case, but I could halve the connectors and still get the ease-of-assembly that I am seeking. I will have to see how that works in...

SOLVED Relay Bypass (latching) + Informant: Effect always-on, LED switches on/off

I think I am following your logic, with taking the buffered bypass off of the effect PCB. As a matter of troubleshooting, setting it to true bypass will confirm that this is not the issue. Alternatively, if you remove the input (form Effect PCB) to the relay board (but leave your in-jack...

LED always on in Trembling Loon

Maybe an obvious question, but shouldn't these be on when there is power to the pedal? Just looking at the circuit, there is nothing that switches the LEDs off. Are they visibly oscillating in intensity? Are you not getting the tremolo you expect?

    Pro Filter bulid

Nice build. As a synth first guy, I have to add this to my stack, Which grows faster than I build, and I swear I am kicking out pedals.

    Ohl Junction #2

I thought I was going to build up my next Fuzz Debate this weekend, with more tuning and different NPN, but nope, turns out I оrdered the wrong 4PDT switch, so I grabbed another project that has a case waiting for the pedal. Here's my second build of the Ohl Junction, a PedalPCB Guvernator. A...
