    1973 Colorsound Tremolo

Looks to me like the date stamp says 11 OCT 73, which is a common way to express dates so Americans don't get confused by them being in the correct day/month/year order.

    frantone copyright strike

I did think of that after I posted but I'd already edited the post a few times. You are of course correct but I think the chances of it happening are slim. Thanks for your input - I find the law very interesting but my only experience of schools was extremely negative, so I had to learn to...

    frantone copyright strike

Since I seem to be the "expert" here - I put some work into understanding this stuff - Fran's claim would be trademark infringement, not copyright. Using her company/product name without permission. There's a thing called "passing off" which means you're selling a copy while pretending it's the...

    frantone copyright strike

That's trademark, not copyright. The creator owns copyright forever, unless they sell it. Copyright is only for creative works like songs or paintings or movies. Trademark is things like product names and company names, logos, and - depending on the quality of your lawyers - less tangible...

    frantone copyright strike

Is that a bad thing? I'd say it depends on the quality of the joke. If women want to talk about woman stuff, I'm OK with that.

    frantone copyright strike

I saw that on Reddit today. I think it's witty, personally. Obviously I'd make my own if I wanted an HM2 clone, but that got my attention and made me laugh, so the seller is doing good.

Where and why do people buy Chibsons?

AliExpress for sure. I'm a long time AE user, and I'd recommend making small and inexpensive purchases to begin with, because it's definitely not a western e-shopping experience. Caveat emptor is as true in modern China as it was in ancient Rome.

    LM308 and OP07 - the plot thickens

I was referring to my earlier post in this thread, on the previous page. But fair enough, it wasn't obvious.

    LM308 and OP07 - the plot thickens

Done and the results are... interesting. I've been using the pedal a bit with the OP07 in it so I'd be familiar enough to notice a change. Did it change (EDIT: when I installed the LM308)? I believe so. With the distortion pot between about 10% and 30%, it's a lot more usable. It's still not an...

    LM308 and OP07 - the plot thickens

Trusted seller and there's good feedback for his LM308s, so I have no doubt they're real. Looks like he found a stash of them here in Australia and he's been selling them steadily on eBay in the last few weeks. Not sure how I'd test the power supply current - with a multimeter?

    LM308 and OP07 - the plot thickens

All right, ya got me, I'm in. Just ordered one of these from a local seller. Around US$8 including postage. I will swap out the OP07 in my Rat when this thing arrives. I can feel the mojo increasing already.

QUESTION??? Will there be a Fourth of July sale? If so I will wait to order… 💥 fireworks 🎇 fireworks 🎆

This site runs on US Eastern time, so it'll be well into the next day here by the time any sale starts. If I was really able to get any info from the future, I'd be obscenely wealthy on lottery numbers and I'd just pay other people to make pedals for me.

QUESTION??? Will there be a Fourth of July sale? If so I will wait to order… 💥 fireworks 🎇 fireworks 🎆

Excellent point, but I'm in Melbourne Australia, so it's always tomorrow here from the perspective of the USA. Greetings from the future, by the way. EDIT: It's about 11 am in Finland but 6 pm Thursday the 27th here right now. It's 4 am in the eastern US, or thereabouts.

QUESTION??? Will there be a Fourth of July sale? If so I will wait to order… 💥 fireworks 🎇 fireworks 🎆

Is this an American dialect thing? Because this weekend is 29th/30th of July, next weekend is the 5th/6th of August. In Commonwealth English, anyway.

https://forum.pedalpcb.com/threads/tone-vendor-mk-2.12787/#post-160718 ^ Answered in this thread. I should just make a standard response and copy/paste it, cause the question has been answered a lot. NOTE: Not being snarky at you, @MattG - being snarky at myself if anything. ;)

    Baritone Brothers....got (a new) question....

Just snapped a couple of quick pics for you, @MichaelW - the tuners are guitar sized but cope fine with fat bari strings.

    Baritone Brothers....got (a new) question....

My bari is a Squier Jazzmaster Baritone. It has a 30-ish inch scale length. I tune it ADGCEA (Like a guitar with a capo on the 5th fret, but an octave lower). I use Ernie Ball baritone strings, these ones:

SOLVED Odd parts sourcing 100n 50v bipolar electrolytic?

Bipolar means two polarities. Unipolar means one. If we're using standard English usage, which unfortunately you can't rely on because people don't think it matters.

TUTORIAL Basic fret level, crown & polish made easy (picture heavy)

Big thanks for doing this, Michael. I've had some of the tools for ages and bought most of the rest in the last year, and I'm slowly working my way towards using them. Your work in putting this info here is greatly appreciated.
