    Aleph Null Weeble Build Report

Pretty straight forward build and all went smoothly. Still have a bit of tuning to do but for now it has a nice range of speed… I have it set fairly subtle so it doesn’t get in the way of anything else.. Pretty good modulation pedal that has a good warble vibe kinda thing… Great for if you want...

    Distortr Problem

must be a different board revision from build doc because current build doc shows diode in that location as well.... either way 82k was for R15 and 82ohm/ 82R was for R18.

Stuff you wanted to know but were afraid to ask

everyone is likely different but I use a pcb holder so I can spin the board from from to back when needed. I solder everything one component at a time...lightly bend legs so they don't immediately fall out,, I hold with my finger and solder from the back of the board then clips the legs begore...

Stuff you wanted to know but were afraid to ask

My next dump question.... I have about 10-12 stomp switches that are 3pdt momentary... How do I know if they are normally open or normally closed? like what do I measure? I'm assuming I can likely use these up for rely bypass boards and just use one row of the lugs?

Stuff you wanted to know but were afraid to ask

Thank You! I'm eyeballing a few pcbs.... I'll just order a couple from you this weekend with some relays and give them a try. I have a buddy that I built a Mahayana for him and it has mad switch pop... Was thinking of getting pedal back from him and installing a bypass relay and see if it helps...

Stuff you wanted to know but were afraid to ask

I've never built a pedal using a relay board... If I just want to build a board out and use a relay bypass which board do I order for a standard off/on and what switch do I buy and where to get? Also does this help at all with pedal pop?

SOLVED (PCB216) Black Tiger Boost Help

for future reference learn how to identify the inside of the LED.. if you look inside the led one side of the filaments looks like a flag and is bigger than the other side of the leg.... The side that is bigger and sort of looks like a triangle or flag shape is your cathode side... I've had leds...

just confirmed your resistors are correct and the rest of the board... even took your substitutions into account... the 47k instead of 51k.. it's gotta be a wiring issue

SOLVED (PCB216) Black Tiger Boost Help

it's very likely you have a short under the breakout board... I see this a lot with new builders trying to fill up the pads with solder.. it wicks under and creates a solder bridge under the board... I'm guilty of doing the same when I first started. I dont use breakout boards because of this...

I hear ya... obviously it's not a have to have but sure is nice to measure exactly what you have in your hand.. especially for germanium transistors
