Only thing I see people complain about is the potentiometer grease is sticky.... which actually i like the torque the tayda pots have.. they don't feel all loosey goosey....

I've had one bad dual gang..... But have been through literal hundreds with no issue... Everytime I actually measure one these days they are always within specified tolerance or better.

probably the best thing to do from here is make yourself an audio probe.... watch some videos... can be made using a 100n capacitor and a guitar cable in it's simplest form..... I ended up making mine out of a misdrilled enclosure, 1/4 audio jack and a couple multimeter leads...

Well darn.. When I first looked at them it all looked correct... but the R2 did look like orange orange black orange brown... looking closer it does look darker than orange... so looks like your components are right...

Bingo! he has a 330K there!... should be 33K

sounds like the opamp is hitting a ceiling... pics of your build and where did you get your IC's

The trick is to sccoe once with sharp blade on both sides.... line the score line up on the edge of a steady work bench top... and give it a quick smack with the edge of your hand downward... Say "ha ya" while doing it seems to work really good because that's what I do and it breaks perfect...

likely a lot of cork sniffery other than doing a few capacitor changes.... search here for some of Chucks mods for bass and you'll see which capacitors to be raised to allow some more lows through... I've built several "bass klons using his recipe and I think a couple suggestions from Coda...

It's literally just a YATS with assymetrical clipping right?.... You might not vibe with tube screamers in general..... They are very mid honky and I prefer to klon over a yats for the mid heavy drives... This circuit apparently shares nothing with a klon other than the knobs as mentioned in...

Definitely one of the most underwhelming pedals I've ever built... I just don't get the KOT thing... Maybe it's my setup and play style. I've even played through an OG . I've built several and even 3 different pcb vendors.... Every one of them were fairly ..MEH.

Someone wanted me to build them a versatile Rat and this is what I picked out for them..Start to finish this weekend… 3 band Rat… No subs… Just populated the pcb and let it rock… Pretty nice Rat…predictable… very much a Rat and I like it..
