    Adding a blend to a Promethium (HM-2)

@jubal81 Would you mind explaining why you went this route over just making a resistor-based voltage divider? I'm interested as I have no experience using the TLE2426.

    Adding a blend to a Promethium (HM-2)

Yep, the cathode of the protection diode should be at a node with the cap though so anything apart of that net is good. It might work fine but if you accidentally plug the wrong plug into the pedal you could have a blown power supply or worse. You might be telling yourself "Nah I would never do...

    Adding a blend to a Promethium (HM-2)

I made my own clean blend on perf that includes a phase switch. This is ideal then you can use it with any pedal. It is similar to the Paramix. I have a monster multipedal in the works that is an hm-2 style pedal, 8 way clipping diode switch, clean blend with send/return insterts, and a muzzle...

    Adding a blend to a Promethium (HM-2)

Man my head has been all over the place but I'm pretty sure It doesn't matter where the ground is connected in terms of jack vs promethium as long as he is tapping the +9 after the protection diode on the promethium.

    Adding a blend to a Promethium (HM-2)

Mike is right. You should probably get 9v from the promethium board instead because there is no power protection or filtering on that board. I can try to walk you through this, but this might be a good learning experience for you if you don't know how to read a schematic yet. Where to tap the...

    Adding a blend to a Promethium (HM-2)

Good catch, I just assumed the blend did because most of the layouts on that website include power protection.

    Adding a blend to a Promethium (HM-2)

@delackattack If it is this one then: Connect 9v and ground from SB(simple blend) to appropriate DC jack lugs. Desolder the wires from Prom(ethium) IN and Prom OUT, but keep them attached to the 3PDT Connect the wire from 3PDT that you desoldered from Prom IN and connect to SB IN Connect the...

    Adding a blend to a Promethium (HM-2)

What layout did you use for the blend? Maybe this will help you. I know you don't have the breakout board for your 3PDT which adds to the confusion.

    Muzzle/zuul mod to (Muzzle+/Zuul+) possible?

It took some digging to find this, but for anyone that is interested in seeing what I'm talking about with the Zuul being based on the gate in the Kerry King JCM800, here you go. Take a look a the EQ file specifcally.

    Boss DS-1

When you say modded, what mod are you referring to? I honestly am less than impressed with the DS-1 I have but I get that it isn't one of the good mojo one's from pre 94 or whatever.

    Boss DS-1

Ahh I see that makes sense, but I never would think to do that. Thanks Chuck! Going to try and work on this soon... got sidetracked running down a hum in my used marshall 2203 reissue I got online recently. Excited to throw this in front of it!

    Clean/Fx Loop Blend Control Board

Yeah I agree, but I suppose it depends on how many different toys you are going to be running this thing with. If it is the same pedals then a trimpot would make a lot more sense. I'm actually dealing with this issue right now because I'm building a massive pedal that blends clean/fx loop with...

    Clean/Fx Loop Blend Control Board

Yeah it is a bit confusing but it seems to me that he probably wanted a way to boost the dry guitar signal and using an inverting opamp to do that has some advantages in this situation. The output buffer is inverting also so this flips the clean signal back to the original phase. I'm not an...

    Clean/Fx Loop Blend Control Board

Dry gain is actually boosting a signal, while dry level is simply attenuating it after the fact like a volume control. If you had an extremely loud pedal in the loop and wanted to mix in your clean signal, it would be desirable to boost the clean signal otherwise you would have to turn the level...

    Muzzle/zuul mod to (Muzzle+/Zuul+) possible?

Yeah, I know but his whole attitude is pretty despicable. He acts like invented the wheel when in reality most of his stuff is just tiny mods of other pedals on PCBs that were clearly designed with auto-router. He treats his customers like garbage and honestly, I think he seems to have some kind...

    Muzzle/zuul mod to (Muzzle+/Zuul+) possible?

As much as I can't stand this wolf guy, these mods really take the muzzle to a new level. I just tested it and I'm very pleased with the results. I still can't get past the fact that he straight up changed two fixed resistors to potentiometers and has the nerve to call it his own. I didn't...

    PCB Stacking

Does anyone out there have any tips/do's and don'ts for stacking multiple PCBs in one enclosure and for cleaning up offboard wiring? I've got a monster of a build I'm excited to share with you guys soon, but at the moment I'm only able to fit it in a whopping 1590DD and the wiring is a complete...

    Making a sum-Amp/ Ybox (Wyebox)

What are you going to be using this for? Sounds like a simple resistor mixer might do the trick. If you are coming straight from your guitar like stickman393 said you might want to opt for an active version to raise input impedance.

    Laser Print Recommendations?

The never-ending printer quest. I just realized I can actually write this off too for work so I'm ready to pull the trigger but still haven't come to a decision.

    Laser Print Recommendations?

Do you do PCB etching and also decals with yours? Leaning toward black and white now.
