Chaos Machine - custom drill dimensions

I went pure chaos (as did life, I never posted a build report!). Made the drill holes myself, and intentionally made everything tilted. The thin wood strips came from my woodworker mom-in-law, these were scraps from the shop. The wood covered up any poorly drilled holes. I wanted to try all...

    Tayda Enclosure shrink wrap issue

The opposite advice of Isaac Hayes: "Just, you know, you can't put bread in a cold oven. You know, you've got to take your time. You've got to heat it up. So that's what, that's what I like to do with my music. I like to build it, and build it into a maddening, exciting crescendo." Different...

    Metric Step Bit Recommendations?

I have the DeWalt SAE bit that goes to 1/2" (12.7mm) - works fine enough for my builds. Here's an Bezos link, and you can get them easy at your hardware store, too. Additionally, I use a center punch to make sure my holes are dead on. Works pretty well for me.

Peavey Backstage 30 - speaker surround gone, looking to replace

All - After some extensive research, I went for a Retro 10 from WSG. I'll report back! @Coda - I'll probably pop on a new rubber surround edge to the old speaker, too. Will be nice to have a spare and a good project. Thanks for the boost of confidence.

Awesome, @Gordo - great company to check out. Appreciate it. Took off the old speaker and... Well, looky here! I still have some vintage gasket I could tape back together. :ROFLMAO: Reading the specs and the schematic (and testing the busted speaker), the replacement speaker needs to be rated...

Peavey Backstage 30 - speaker surround gone, looking to replace

Hey Folks - I got an old Peavey Backstage 30 from a pal, I'm going to use for pedal troubleshooting, bedroom noodling, and home-karaoke wail-a-thons. 🎤 My larger amp likes to stay at the band's practice space, so this is a great solution. The only problem? The speaker surround is...
