Ha. After adding the clipper switch, I like the default the best. Wish there was a little more volume. The diodes in series and the red led didn't do it for me tone wize (and I usually like led clippers). Definitely, there was more volume. Probably a booster after the pedal is the trick.

I'm going to finish my build, today (or tomorrow). I'm going to put a switch on the d3/d4 clippers and see if that opens it up some without wrecking the tone. I'll start with double 1n4148(s) and red leds and the default diodes. Maybe a boost after the pedal is the answer.

I have the schematic in Diptrace. I guess I can always make a layout. I'll double check my schematic First glance, it matches the freestompboxes.org trace.

I built one. It works and sounds good. It sounds similar to the YouTube videos. I don't have any way to validate the accuracy, though. It fired up first go. I would prefer just a single channel version of the pedal.

I'm wondering if you could be getting some resonant frequency from your 555 timer from your relay bypass. Do you get the high pitched whine at all delay settings?

You'll have to invert the clean signal before you mix it back in. The clean blend on Thorpy's Fat General is great. I'll have another look tomorrow and give a more detailed response.

Finally, got around to posting this build. It's a great fuzz. I went Russian all the way. MP38 for the transistors and a D9B for the diode. I measured everything but I lost my numbers. Thanks to @peccary. This thing is brutal and somehow musical at the same time. Sustain forever.
