Hi, just wanted to share my finished goldie mk1.5 build. Jeez took longer than I thought! Had a few ups and downs with this one! Again enclosures from fuzzcases. Sprayed the enclosure and also did the decal. I sourced all the parts and this one as two oc75 from 1972. Hope you like it. Cheers...

Nice one! Well it’s been a challenge for both myself and my friend. All the parts were testing ok. So yeah, problematic for sure. I made a Tonebender mk1 and for some reason found that easier. I’m not a fan of vero board tho so.. found it tricky. Enjoy the old vintage board more. Good luck mate. 👍🏻

Yeah, I know. I had it all wired and it wasn’t working. So gave it to a friend who couldn’t get it working too. So he stripped it all and stared again and said it wouldn’t work he then tried to breadboard it it’s pretty primitive I know. And no where near right. I haven’t breadboarding myself...

Cool! Yeah, mine has a CV7003, which cost me £20, there £40 pounds now, so it just goes to show how germanium’s go up in value. The others are a ac128 and a 2g302. It’s taken me a while to build up a collection. I've mostly gotten mine from eBay, have bought lots of job lots and have been lucky...

I know your pain! I built a MKI, and it took me a while to get it right too. A good ear helps. If it doesn't sound right, play around with it. But once I nailed it, it was very rewarding, so keep trying. I swapped a few transistors until mine sounded right. It was definitely, a labour of love...

Man! that’s great to hear. I’m not too sure? Was going to put them in a fuzz face, but might do something a little different. I’ve done 3 fuzz faces so.. might do the same as you and give a go at a sunface clone.
