1N4748A (Zener diode 1/2W, 22V) - Source and/or Replacement?

I'm looking to pick up the Clandestine Preamp during the BF sale. The BOM calls for a single 1N4748A (Zener diode 1/2W, 22V). I have none.

EDIT - Sorry, posted early while incomplete. Now fixed

1. I can't find any at my usual sources (PPCB, StompboxParts). Tayda has them but it states they are 1W (not 1/2W) - but I don't know if that is equivalent, and haven't reached a critical mass of items needed to justify Tayda shipping right now. Any other sources?

2. Are there any suitable, more readily-available replacements for the 1N4748A (Zener diode 1/2W, 22V)?

1W will work fine, 1/2W is just smaller and easier to bend the leads.

I'll check my bench today, if I happen to have a 22V zener I'll send it.

Maybe BZX55-Series?

Ps. according to the datasheet, 1N4748A is 1W, not 1/2W.

The 1N4748A's are available locally at my electronics stores & listed as 1W.

My Vishay 1N5817's are thick leads.
Tayda's are abot half the diameter!

Side note - how lucky you are to have a local electronics store. I live in Atlanta, one of the larger cities in the U.S., and I don't believe we have ANY true electronics stores anymore.

Yeah, no kidding. Chattanooga got a ham radio operator that sometimes posts on eBay…sometimes. I don’t know where he gets his stuff.

No worries, but thank you anyhow. Some of the other boards I'm getting in your sale will necessitate a Tayda run, so I've just thrown a set of these in the cart.
