These days, if you need to use JFETs, better use SMD ones with adapter boards.
It's mostly the fact that thrhough hole JFETs are pretty much all obsolete by this point so there's a lot of fakes that are often BJT, ones that are terribly off-spec or legit ones that go for ridiculous prices these days.Is there something different about how they're producing JFETs these days? Is it because they're lead-free now?
