A funny but stupid story about me.

Forget the weed, why the hell would you want to live up north???
To not be in the south, I’d guess 🤣

If you’re cold, you can always wear warmer clothes. If you’re hot, you can only take off so much before you’re naked, and if you’re still hot then… well, you’re effed.

Also the northeast gets the best live concerts. Pretty much every mid-to-large-scale touring act hits tri-state area and metro ny with plenty of dates dispersed between Virginia and Vermont (NH and Maine, not as much, somewhat surprisingly). Plenty of actual that mainly just hit the northeast, Chicago, and the Cali/Vegas hubs, while another large number of acts never really go west of Tennessee. That leaves the biggest cross section of potential concerts being right up here. 😎

Also good pizza, bagels, and delicatessens.

I’m in Tennessee between Nashville, Knoxville and Atlanta. Not a terrible concert area to be in. 😁

Great thread!

I'm one of the lucky ones with cigs. I can smoke (Newport 100s!) when I'm in a stressful situation and I don't have access to weed but I can put them down otherwise. I do smoke enough weed (concentrates) everyday/all day to kill a small elephant, but that just keeps me from killing ppl. Wife is "California Sober" now. With alcohol, she's like Nic Cage in "Leaving Las Vegas"...not a pretty scene. With weed she's an upright citizen. Differn't strokes eh?

As far as dreams, the best insight I've ever gotten was a film called "Waking Life" by Richard Linklater.

This is the guy that got me smoking in 6th grade circa 1986, I assure you...I'm NOT the cool looking one!

Yeah I could dig up some embarrassing 80's photos myself. Remember the ninja craze in the mid 80's? I was just telling a friend yesterday how I cut up my mom's broomstick to fashion homemade nunchucks. I spent most of 5th grade wacking myself in the head with them. Probably explains a few things about me.

Funny enough I met Linklater when I lived in Austin. He premiered Dazed and Confused and somehow I ended up talking to him after the event. I asked him about his next project and all he said was "it's a story that takes place in Europe". It turned out to be that one with Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy. Then later on one of my co-workers at Bookpeople turned out to be one of the rotoscopers on Waking Life. Austin was awesome back in the 90's!

It sure was. I’m a Texan transplant (20+ yrs on now) to the upper, upper midwest US and then Canada. Austin in the 90s was a whole different world. My mind was blown.

Never smoked, no drugs other than caffeine and alcohol. Had to say bye to booze about 6 yrs ago. I’m healthier but significantly less fun (and consequently much easier) to be around ever since 🤣

I quit Nicotine in 1998, haven't smoked a lot of weed since high school, if were legal here I'd probably go the edible route. I drink my share of beer, but not quite the volume I did in my younger days, and I'll occasionally have a Gin & Tonic, or a Scotch or Bourbon in a cloud.

Man, you can easily find good pizza here in pdx but you're screwed if you love real bagels. My Jersey in-laws moved to Colorado so I'm rarely in proximity to pork roll these days.

I went the extra mile and elected not to have a porch at all. Or a balcony. Or a wife.
Someone please let me out of my 20 square meter room with one window facing North.
Please.

I hope you successfully beat your addiction.
I know several people who have quit smoking. I don't know if they ever recovered mentally. I know my dad was having issues and the doctor told him to just go ahead and have a couple of cigarettes a day.

I was a Bo staff man myself. It meant I didn't have to cut up the broomstick but could still 'train' and practice Kobadera. :ROFLMAO: My friends and I didn't discover the awesomeness of ninja movies until 93/94 so it was the mid 90s for me.

You know, for those of you in illegal states, hemp (which is cannabis which has had the THC bred out of it) is legal in all 50 states. It does not cause intoxication but helps to alleviate the "I need a drag" feeling. It gives you a well being feeling. In fact it's legal to smoke before driving. Smelly breath, however, will get your car searched if you do get pulled over. Brushing your teeth with baking soda absorbs the odor.

It's way cheaper to buy "off the farm" than an online dispensary, but you can have it shipped interstate. 100% legit. Put around 3 to 4 ground grams in a 16oz bottle of alcohol, shake, and wait an hour or so. Then you can rub a very small amount on your feet, or hands - anything that aches - and the pain vanishes. For some odd reason putting it on your feet, even if they aren't sore helps to lower arthritis pain all over your body.

I don't even have a hypothesis for that...... but it is amazing relief for my pain.

You left out the best part. After you rub the salve on the feet, light them on fire and take a few big drags. It's called "hoofing".

:)

I never managed to try that for my frozen shoulder but I got a CBD stick with menthol that helped a bit.

Bwahahahaha same here.

For my Frozen shoulder, I mixed one ounce of ground weed with 3 cups of olive oil heated to 190f. This sterilizes the infusion but doesn't convert the THCA to THC. This is important because THCA passes through cell walls in less than a second, where THC takes a LOOOONG time. Stir for 5 minutes then wait 24 hours.

Mix

430g shea butter
120g coco butter
107g beeswax

in a pyrex container and heat in a microwave until everything is melted. You have to stand there and wait as it's very important to just bring it to melting point without overheating.

When melted remove from the microwave and add 160g of the infused olive oil and stir, then QUICKLY pour into a container or containers. I like to use 15 2oz containers, or 8 4oz containers. Allow 24 hours to setup as it needs time to crystalize and harden even after it's cooled.

This takes a lot more work just to gather the ingredients, but I guarantee you everyone that tries it will want more. I had frozen shoulder for 2 years, and nothing was working. I started using this and immediately got more range of motion, and within 6 months I was completely healed.

Not only does it stop arthritis pain, but burns will not blister IF APPLIED IMMEDIATELY. If you apply it to a impact injury immediately you will not get a bruise. I $#!+ you not. And it's great for dry skin, I've never had anything heal my skin so quickly. Get a paper cut on your finger? Put this on and the pain is gone in a minute.

I have a lady in Beverly Hills that comes all the way to my house in the valley twice a year to pickup 15 containers for her and her friends.

DO NOT PLAY GUITAR AFTER PUTTING IT ON, your strings will die an instant death and will THUD instead of ring. Put it on, wait five minutes, then wash your hands with soap and very hot water for about a minute, and you fingers will move like they did in the old days....

Holy crap. This sounds pretty amazing. I sense the potential for a highly profitable and effective pain remedy here, haha. With my spinal fracture my doc cut me off Hydrocodone after three weeks (understandable, but also a bit too soon for me). I was still in a lot of pain and miserable. He ended up giving me a short course of steroid and with OTC pain killers it ended up working out okay. Never heard of this as an alternative and I still have soreness and mild pain in the low lumbar area.

Since I can grow my own, that's free. The rest of the ingredients cost about a buck per container. The containers cost a buck each.... They sell close to the same stuff at the dispensary for $40 for 2oz, only for some dumb reason they intentionally cook theirs so it's THC instead of THCA. Works but takes an hour instead of instantly.

By that time it won't help a burn or impact injury, it's too late. Both of those injuries are actually made worse by the body OVER REACTING to the injury. In the case of bad burns, the skin will still die but you'll just get what looks like a cut instead of a biggo honking bruise that you'll forget about and break open.

This is all I have left. I was actually going to make more today but decided to do more work on cleaning my BBQ in preparation for the new burners. They weigh like 7 pounds each, the bbq weighs about 400lbs. Serious about my Q'ing!!!

btw, I get the containers at https://www.bulkapothecary.com/

You can find everything else on eBay, except the weed or hemp. Hemp works pretty good, just not as good as the real stuff does.

Haven't tried a weed tincture before (externally) but I have had great luck with Chiro Care CBD rub. Only thing that eases my right shoulder when I piss it of and swells and lumps up(missing outside rotator cuff, shredded it to bits).
Works well on the teukting locked up neck and shitty back too.
Make sure to get the CBD variety.
No capcasinn but it does have the stuff that's in Vicks rub (not the menthol, the other stuff) that supposedly isn't good in prolonged doses, but what is.

Menthol+CBD cream helped a bit with my frozen shoulder as well. Thankfully it’s almost healed now.
