Aion Cerulean/Bluesbreaker

My praise strat guitar dude coworker wanted a transparent overdrive, so I kicked him my old Cerulean build with the aion 18v breakout board.

Since I rarely do decor, thought I'd put this out for posterity. The graphic is his custom and ridiculous request. Did some creative sanding, and cutting and pasting, and vwa lah. Think a matte clear coat would be much much nicer, and I got some flecks of crap in there. Oh well, he's getting a deal.

For the review: tones are good, trending towards transparent and more mid to treble focused. Pedal is low-mid gain and quite flexible. I dig the switch options internal and external. It's pretty good; might build one again after I get through my crate of CDB PTP.

Hahaha!! No doubt, I could see that. I actually don't know what praise players use since I actively avoid listening to "Christian" radio music, especially of the white and Latino and Asian persuasions (sorry gospel and praise players). I do know the modern gospel folks love their 5-string+ basses and usually have some ripping drummers.

He's actually a pretty soulful player, but a weird dude, and totally the opposite from me in where he's coming from musically and on the guitar.

You weren't temped to put an image of satan somewhere on the board?

I really, really loathe shimmer reverb...

I was thinking of drawing little pentagrams in the pedals, but nah, that would be like putting bacon grease in somebody's vegetarian collards.

Even though I did tell him that I was going to title the pedal "Satan's Penis" if he didn't come up with something.
