This is my first build since June. We have had a lot going on with moving, my girlfriend stating her new RN career and just life in general. Building pedals feels good and I’m happy to have the opportunity to do so again.

I am enjoying this pedal a lot. I’m using it on the dirty channel of my little marshal DSL1 and using it for a bit of boost as well as to tweak the eq as the DSL shares eq with clean and dirty. I’m thinking I might redo my foot switch for the amp so it has a few loops so I don’t have to dance on the pedal board to turn them all off and on at once. The switcher Robert teased us with earlier this year would be great for this.

The build on this was super easy. The only issue I ran into was the electrolytics would hit the enclosure if I mounted them the was they are shown. So swapped them around but no big deal.

Really fun pedal I definitely recommend it.

I’m doing much better from my earlier tendon injury. I can play again just not as fast and there is some discomfort. Hoping to be 100% in a few more weeks.

How’s the injury healing;
How’s your RN liking the new career;
How’s the new home, settled in?

Oh, and those knobs’ colour goes great with the bronze hammertone.
😻

Hey FF, Thank you for checking in. The injury is getting better. I can play the guitar 90% of what I could before. It still hurts if I put weight on it. I’m doing some siding on a shed today and it’s uncomfortable to move the panel and work on hands and knees but I can see the end in site.

The RN thing is going well. She has had a couple clients so far and we are working on finding her a job in a hospital. We’re hoping for UC Davis as they would pay for her to become a nurse practitioner. The 2 incomes has been great this is the first time either of us has ever lived in a 2 income home and although it is a bit hard to get the kids shuttled around it seems like it will be worth it.

The house is going well. Lots of projects I’m hoping to have our storage shed done by Christmas and then I can start working on my wood shop/home office/guitar and pedal factory/mechanics shop area. This is a nice time of year to work outside here until about may then it gets real hot. Hoping to have the shop air conditioned by then.

The clear is one of my favorites to print in. I’m hoping to have my printer running again in a month or 2.

Right on.

Careful with the siding, don’t risk re-injury and don’t ask me how I know about that to warn you.

Re knobs: I didn’t look closely enough before to see they’re clear, I thought they were stone-grey — hasn’t changed that they look great.

With all you’ve got going on, you still manage to build pedals…
Makes me look like the slacker I am. 😼

Well made it through the day without getting hurt again. Got 2 walls sided and installed from there the others should be easy. It has been funny since I have been hurt I have been needing to ask for help from my girlfriend and daughter and they are the normally the ones asking for help for me.

With everything I have going on I pretty much have to build pedals. I put on music and kind of zone out. It’s like free therapy and you get a rad pedal at the end.

I aspire to be a slacker one day. I haven’t quite figured out how yet.

I’ve had a few nice dymo punch labellers over the years, but as far as I know none of them were set up to print vertical like that. That’s a sweet solution for a tight layout.

If you have this label maker the wheel labeled 3000-24 prints vertically. I bought mine in a kit with the case for not that much maybe $30-40 with all the wheels.
