UPDATE: I had resistors R14 and R15 values swapped.
Hi all, I'm doing a multi effect black box
with an aion fx Nimbus (Maxon OD-820), a Rat and a pedalpcb Huzzy Fuzz, where the only external controls are nimbus vol, rat vol and clean vol.
For the Nimbus that means 2 internal trimpots for the dual gang gain control (@ 500k, as i didnt have 250k mini trimpots) and 1 for tone.
The Nimbus overdrive doesnt sound right. This circuit is a high-headroom, fuller-range take on a TS, with a clean blend in the dual gain ctrl that dials *out* as gain is added (it's basically their Klon). In my build, with everything dimed, it stays muffled and is not getting as loud nor as overdriven as it should. My guess is one of my ICs has an issue. I won't get to troubleshoot as soon as I'd like.
Insult to injury, when its combined with the Rat I'm getting a high-pitched squealing oscillation that (sometimes?) drops in pitch when I dial back my guitar volume.
Anyone know this circuit well? Thoughts?
Pics below, doubt theyll help much.
