TBH, I'm not sure yet but I have a suspicion that those CD4049BEs I found are buffered. This is from the 1984 D.A.T.A.Book Interface and Memory Discontinued Devices.

So, after reading through that chart, I have come to a conclusion: either the world is actually a simulation, and god is, in reality, an AC128 FuzzFace from 1968, or, I misread that chart…

Besides, when I put it in that Shady-Fred circuit it did not work….so, there’s that!
