Another SAD1024 in the house… BF-1 FLANGERAMMA

He gave it to his bass-player, who closeted it. Recently the guitarist (a mutual friend) got hold of it, and passed it on to me with the blessings of the drummer and bass-player.

Might have an intermittent RATE pot problem…

Sounds very good — has a very different flavour of flange to the Electric Mistress, even though they share the SAD1024 in their workings.

We tried it earlier this week at 12v, finally, instead of the usual 9v...

No problems with pots, of late.

So when the heck are the X-vive people going to clone the SAD1024? *(or better yet, improve on it with a better SNR?).

I'm not a video-producer guy, but maybe when my friend gets back from vacation I'll try to put together a vid... big maybe.

In some ways the MN3207 as good as or better than the SAD1024. They use the same MOSFET BBD technology. The SAD1024 was designed for 15V operation and requires at least 10V for Vdd and the clock gen in order to meet spec.

I built a flanger pedal with an SAD1024 back in 1978. Loosely based on the Electric Mistress. I stripped it for parts a couple of years later. Still have the SAD1024. My assembly skills have steadily improved since then.

I’ve never got my hands on an old boss one like that…

But Why Chuck Why!

I could resurrect it. Would that make you feel better?
I think it would make us all feel better.
