Anyone else…

Ahhhh this thread sold me on it. I've never "gotten" univibes and had it in my cart for a little bit today before dropping it but I'm gonna see if I can finagle adding it to my VIIB order I placed today

For my fellow noobs - I'm having trouble figuring out the big sonic differences between the two pedals. ElectroVibe has a the chorus/vibe switch and two speeds, VIIB has that sweet sweet momentary latching built in. Might also be because I'm still perplexed about my Abyss (EQD Depths) pedal... any educators out there interested in my enlightenment? ;)

What is your question, the difference between univibe and vibrato? The Viib circuit is pitch vibrato, your whole signal is altered making it a kind of sea sick at extremes to slight movement or thickening at more subtle settings. The univibe circuit is a whole nother beast, it uses a light bulb and ldrs to create the whooshing effect. It is supposed to sound like a leslie cabinet but instead it sounds like good drugs.

@thewintersoldier @jjjimi84 - bingo, thanks for answering my non-question! from cruising around different demo vids and different "best vibrato/univibe" ranking articles, no one explained it like that. on a lot of the "best of" lists, the boss vibrato, the univibe and both of their derivatives showed up, which got me turned around. consider me enlightened... for now! :sneaky:
