So, I'm assembling my 3rd Crowther Hotcake/ Awful Waffle pedal from PedalPCB. The first two worked flawlessly at first attempt. I sold those two. Then I got a request for another one. But this one's not acting right! Lol.
I first assembled it with the foot switch on the right with the foot switch PCB in pic 1. I had clean sound with the effect off and I had a good overdrive sound with the effect on. It sounded just like the other two. But I had no LED when turning on the pedal.
After looking at the wiring diagram I noticed it didn't have the foot switch PCB. So I installed another foot switch, wired it up the way it is in the wiring diagram. Now I have no sound at all, but the LED light comes on when turning on the effect.
I included several pics to see if you guys could see anything wrong.
Now I did use an audio probe. I was getting sound at the input, in to C1, through R1, to pin 3 of the op amp, but no sound out of pin 6. I have four different op amps here and have tried every one of them with the same outcome. They are not all from the same company, so it's not like I got a bad batch of lm741's. But no matter what, I can't get sound past number six pin of the OP amp. These pics do not have the LED installed.
This one's got me stumped. Also, I'm not a total noob, I have about 20 pedals under my belt and have been doing this for about a year now. Help! Thanks in advance!
