A few months ago I built one of these using through hole J201s from Mouser. I like the pedal but I wish it had more gain and I really can't hear much difference no matter where I set the Sag knob.

Would adding trim pots let me bias the J201's a bit better? I assume that would that be R5 and R9? Is there a way to get more starve action from the Sag, like can I just increase the B10K value?

Sag should be very noticeable. Should be very gated

putting trimmers in place of R5 and R9 should give you more options than just changing the sag pot.

maybe use a 20K trimmer pot for those.
