I need to post it... but I had to give it some time and really listen. In the end, what I have been using is two different CMC Muffs. One is a tall font with Mids with the coupling caps replaced for 180n and LEDs (green/clear) in both sets of clippers. I am also using a Violet Rams head with Mids that has coupling caps replaced for 180n and LEDs (green/clear) in both sets of clippers AND C2, C5, and C8 at 430 (civil war specs). Both are great on bass... the ram's head is a little grainier and gainier and the TFR is a little more overdrivey. I can't pick one so I keep both flavors.
