Bastion Overdrive

Was a straight-forward build. Tayda didn't have the JRC4559 OpAmp so I used an LM1458. I used the Testors metal flake color-changing rattle can paint over a brown base coat and really dig the reptilian look this thing has.

I think this pedal so far sounds great, I haven't had a lot of time to play around and tweak the EQ and clipping settings, but this is a great pedal.

Quick follow-up. The LM1458 gives the pedal a somewhat Marshall-like quality. I swapped it out for a JRC4558 and that IC seemed to make the nature of the overdrive a little less dark and, not surprisingly, much more TubeScreamer like.
