Benson Germanium Boost?

I found another few threads on here regarding the temperature regulation in the Benson Fuzz. There is also some sort of a pickup simulator / impedance circuit. Did anyone have success making a fuzz with those modifications here? My impression is that the Benson boost is something like a rangemaster with the impedance circuit and temp control from the fuzz. Is this something that people are interested in developing a PCB for?

PS: I think I screwed up and should have posted this in the wishlist section? When I select editing, I don't see an option to delete.

The way I understand the Benson temperature control is that they test a device and heat it until, through the effect of thermal instability due to leakage, it stops changing the bias point.

Then you pick a resistor that gives you your ideal bias point.

For a Rangemaster I doubt you’d need that. You should be using low leakage transistors in that circuit. Also, Rangemasters generally don’t have impedance issues because they are a properly (fully) biased gain stage.

Just my $0.02
