best sources for boxes and pots ?

Amplified Fun in Portland for enclosure printing and drilling, Stompbox Parts, Love My Switches or Mouser for most of the pots, and generally SBP or LMS for the enclosures to drop ship to Amplified Fun.

Love My Switches has good prices on boxes and pots and a flat shipping fee. Tayda shipping had gotten very expensive for just a few pieces.

Outside the US there's not really many options for Tayda. Musikding has some enclosures (and predrilled for their own kits), and Aliexpress too, but Tayda is unbeatable.

For me, 5 plain 125b from Tayda are 27.45+32.64 shipping to Italy, total $60.09 (€52.44)
The same from Musikding is €39.50+6.90 shipping, for a total of €46.40

Interesting, for me it would be 44,50€ + 6,90€ for Musikding, and $27.45+$17.36 for Tayda which comes out to ~48€ after taxes, ~54€ if I have DHL pay the taxes for me. Musikding might be slightly cheaper there (edit: to Italy, not to Finland it seems), but every other component is so much cheaper on Tayda that if you're ordering anything else than just pure enclosures, it usually comes out far ahead (plus the shipping drops from that too if you add more stuff, at least for me) in my experience.

No drilling (except for kits) or printing for Musikding either.

That being said, it isn't so bad for just enclosures I guess.

In general though you're right, if ordering more stuff Tayda is surely cheaper and you get a lot more variety, especially for enclosures. Musikding almost never carries color stuff, and when they do, it's Tayda branded enclosures lol

I think Tayda is much more expensive especially with the new "3€ per line item" in EU for countries where you can not do customs declaration yourself.

I have to assume there's some other country than just Finland where you can do that, right? It can't be just some Finland-specific thing? It just feels so weird to me that there's no other option than having DHL (or UPS) do it and get a fee for it they can set themselves.
