I have not (ordered a clearance neck today). But GuitarFetish is pretty well-regarded on other forums and I've gotten good tuners, nuts, and other components from them in the past.

Ya I have used their strat and tele necks. They are good for the price. But not great necks. I had one neck arrive with glue stains on the fretboard but I returned that one. I have gotten some really good necks off amazon for cheap. And you can find roasted necks on amazon too. GFS didnt have roasted necks last time it looked

VFE has their design files half off (IIRC this package was previously $40 - but I also think it was briefly $1?).
I'm curious if folks think this is worth it. I've never built a VFE pedal but I see the group buy thread mentioned occasionally, from before my time on the forum.

Hmm, how did that work exactly, do you get straight gerber files, and how hard is it to convert them yourself if not?
Also, for the ones which use charge pumps, do you pretty much have to use their daughterboard or is there some alternative someone knows of which would have just the charge pump part so you could use a 3PDT for true bypass? Vero maybe?

I still have some PCBs left from the group buy. The motherlode was $1 last year as part of the "Make VFE fully DIY" Indiegogo campaign Peter Rutter ran. I paid full price for mine and I guess it was worth it. It was how I did the group buy.
The latest versions of each pedal are straight gerbers, no need to convert. Older versions of the projects would require conversion. I did have to convert one project for jjjimi84 and it was pretty easy.
I am pretty sure you could vero what you need for those but I have some extra SPS boards from the group buy and @bean has them over at Madbean.

Saved up a few months, as to get down to 250,- on Aion purchases, next to a similar amount at PedalPCB. Big boy purchases, as this time around I get them across the ocean without stupid import costs.Guess I found my way into the Hall of Shame.
Nothing at Lectric-FX. Did they ever? Their board selection is quite sober, so maybe they don't have wolves at the gates who want a lot, like the ones mentioned in this thread? Had hoped for Love My Switches as well, but they only have selected items at a discount (none of it being the stuff people roam their site for).

I was never very good at the concept of shakedowns.
Dude runs a small operation, generally waits till he's got a bunch of orders before he submits one to the PCB manufacturer, cause shipping. Seems like a cool cat running a lil PCB line for supplemental income.

30% off at Wilde pickups—which are already priced way below the other pickup builders that stand on his shoulders. If you wan't clean, neutral pickups, they're really nice. The Microcoils that I love in both my Strat and Tele are now $105 for all three Strat pickups. I liked these better than Lollars and a set of Kleins I tried. (both borrowed, and not exactly the versions I would've gone for—but just to give a sense of what my comparisons are.)

Anybody who's interested in getting a CNC laser:
This is a *SCREAMING* deal for those that have the means. This is a 20 watt 1064nM Infrared fiber laser that can *directly* etch onto aluminum enclosures.
Typical laser engravers are in the Blue spectrum and can only carve through organic materials, powder coats, and can mark certain stainless steels a little bit.
Fiber lasers typically come configured with "galvo" heads, which means the laser can quickly engrave areas by altering the angle at which they direct the laser to the surface of the item being engraved. These are fantastically fast, but are *very* limited in terms of the size of the workpiece, and the extra complexity of the galvo head tends to ramp up the cost.
This, instead, is a gantry machine. It works much slower than a galvo head, but can handle just about any pedal enclosure.
Right now it's got a coupon bringing the total cost down to 1k. A galvo with a similar useful area would likely be at least 10x that.
I'd buy one if I could justify it, but alas. It's out of my budget.
