BS170 transistors for Prince Albert build

I was building a Lemonade pedal and found that the new 2N5457 FET’s were no good and I would need NOS FETs for the build. The NOS 2N5457 worked like a charm.

I was wondering if the BS170 transistors have and issues the 2N5457 FETs?

As far as I know, Mosfets like the BS170 aren't counterfeited, thus usually work fine. If you want a second option, also order 2N7000s, but you need to flip them 180° due to the flipped pinout.

Regarding 2N5457, you can get the SMD version of those and through hole adapter boards. The smd ones are usually fine.
