Ladies and circuit nerds!
The deadline has come and gone, but I have not forgotten about you all. As promised with nearly any contest on here, there are prizes. Prizes? Plural? YES, prizes!
Right out of the gate came
@szukalski with his "Sheep Master", a modified rangemaster. A good way to figure out how to use those GE trannies sitting in a drawer! Not far behind we had our local circuit wizard
@Chuck D. Bones with his nearly rapid fire circuits starting with a stupid simple A-B box courtesy of his local home center for the enclosure itself. As a side note, I've always wanted to build something in one of those gang boxes for a mere few dollars. He later came back with his grand slam behemoth of a stereo chorus effect using the PT2399 chip. This circuit with the extra jacks would only really work in a 1590BB unless someone got stupid clever (as Chuck usually is) so unfortunately this one will be disregarded since it didn't fit the brief of the contest. Once that circuit was complete, Chuck cleaned off his breadboard (yeah, right) and started his rapid fire boost pedals with some dirt thrown in there to include his "Slightly Dirty Boost", "Debbie Boost", and "Julie Boost". Any circuit nut would drool over these very clever ideas. For a wizard, not so clever

.
@lrgaraujo snuck in there early on with a mashup of a muamp and a rangemaster. Very clever indeed!
@KR Sound decided to start from scratch by putting together a protoboard and build an originally designed fuzz/tremolo called "Fuzzolo". From building a protoboard, to breadboarding, to PCB design (and redesign), to an enclosure with artwork, a real trailblazer in showing his whole process and inspiring others.
@steviejr92 dusted off his breadboard and laptop to design a nice "Fuzz Face with Attitude" in collaboration with Mr. Bones himself (cross talking here was allowed). Many revisions were made until Stevie was happy and off to design a board for it. A few weeks in and
@cdwillis threw his hat in the ring with his mashup of a BMP and Bazz Fuss named "Mister Nasty Time" and inspired by the ROG Whisker Biscuit. Big props for the nasty fuzz! Me likey

. About halfway through
@Passinwind decided to stop stalking the thread and actually put in a submission for his upright bass EQ for all you low end fiends!
@JTEX threw in a little ditty right at the end with his half-Baxandall addon to an active EQ circuit. A nice little trinket indeed!
Folks, you've all been really great. I was really surprised to see so many fabricated boards. I honestly thought it would be either breadboards or stripboard builds. I
REALLY need to look into PCB design and some of you have reached out to point me in the right direction. Anyways, I hope some of you will share your ideas and possibly fabricated boards with the rest of the community here. The goal of this contest was to get you all to unleash your inner mad scientist and pass on your knowledge with your schematics and builds for the rest of us. I really hope we can do a contest like this again, but maybe with some different tweaks such as "design a non-dirt pedal", or "opamps only". Just throwing that out there...
Anyways, enough yammering from me. Let's get on with the
PRIZES!
The grand prize winner for this contest is
@KR Sound with his "Fuzzolo". You, good sir, will receive a
$50 PPCB Gift Card! A phenomenal job sharing your whole process and proving that it doesn't always work the first time and with enough perseverance you can build your dream effect. You will also learn a thing or two which isn't so bad in my book.
@cdwillis , with your efficient, but deadly "Mister Nasty Time" have won yourself a
Protoboard Micro. May you build other little ditties like this one, but in style.
Our esteemed Circuit Wizard, Mr.
@Chuck D. Bones has won himself a
Headphone Amplifier board. Why? Well, with all those boosts he's designed it will be too loud in his home!
And, last but not least, a big shoutout to
@steviejr92 . You sir, have shown that you're a tinkerer and are willing to try new things even if you have no idea if it will work or not. A tinkerer always needs tools and ideas to try new things and you have won
$20 of Utility Boards of your choice sold here by Mr. PedalPCB himself.
Thanks for playing everyone. Now in the words of the almighy
@fig : "Now Go Build Something!"
