BYOC Triboost is on the fritz.

The pedal started making really odd noises and stopped functioning, even in bypass mode. It was the first BYOC pedal I ever built, probably 10+ years ago and never had any issues.

I've never had to troubleshoot one of the builds before (no humble brag intended) and I don't have any real understanding of electronics so, I don't even know where to begin.

I'm happy to take any direction on how to diagnose/fix the pedal, I really loved it when it was working.

Please let me know of anything that will help with providing advice.

You probably have a continuity tester - a setting on the DMM that beeps when you short the leads. Check that the footswitch contacts are closing properly in each setting. So for the 3PDT footswitch, you should find operating the switch alternates connections between: 1-2,4-5, 7-8 and 2-3, 5-6, 8-9.

Also you might just check your jack to switch connections. For example, does the out-jack tip still connect #8 on the switch. Is the joint cracked at either end, or at the ground to out jack?

(I am using BYOC Boost as reference for the switch connections.)
