Cataclysm Delay no effect.

My Cataclysm delay has no effect when I tap the switch. The led lights up but I’m getting no effect. Bypass and “on” sound exactly the same and turning the pots has no effect at all.

Go easy on me, lol. I built this with lead-free solder. Some of the pads were damaged from the higher heat. That’s why you can see some intentional solder bridges and wire traces. IMG_4159.jpeg IMG_4168.jpeg IMG_4169.jpeg IMG_4171.jpeg IMG_4172.jpeg IMG_4173.jpeg IMG_4170.jpeg

Huge globs of solder on both sides of the PCB near the led shorting out stuff.
Also if any of the pins started moving while soldering the foot switch then you need a new foot switch. Once those pins become out of place they aren't making a good consistent connection that you can trust and even if the part that handles the led works, that doesn't mean the audio part is.
Because your are using the short pin pots the board is closer to the case and presumably the reason why you wired the other pots off board? Those legs are gonna touch stuff easily once you squeeze it into a case. You are better off wiring all the pots off the board with actual sheathed wire and mounting the board some other way to ensure nothing gets shorted.

The globs of solder from (+) to the LED anode and D3 were intentional. I overheated and ruined the (+) pad. I suppose it’s possible I shorted something else when I made the solder bridges.

FYI The socket I wired in for dc power is reversed. Black is positive and red is negative.

You might be on to something with the foot switch. I know I got a really bad batch of them off Amazon. It seems like this one is testing ok though. I’ll take another look.
