Cepheid Chorus done. A bit cramped and I got lazy with wires from footswitch. Messed up LED at first but I do that all the time so they weren’t soldered. My first pedal with a trimmer. At first I thought the build was broken cause it sounded horrible but a small adjustment and it sings. What an amazing effect! Nails that Jazz Chorus sound to my ears.

Beautiful build !

I notice your wiring is very generous around the 3PDT ?

I guess it doesn't matter if you use only a few stompboxes in the signal chain. But if you like to use a lot of effects on your pedalboard, the lenghts of the wires, where the signal is passing through, will add up. The more wire or cable length, the more resistance it creates. It can be like turning a tone knob to cut some highs, darkening the signal ?

Edit : If you like chorus, why not build the Dimension Chorus, 80's version ? It's probably quicker to calibrate it with an oscilloscope, but it can be done without it. Are you ready for a challenge and an amazing chorus ?

That’s a good point. Only rarely hook up more than 4-5 pedals at home. I got lazy and excited at the same time about trying the pedal… so corners were cut 😬

Love the look, if you want to try another chorus I see the blue shift mentioned but the karaoke chorus from lectric fx is great too. Easier and cheaper build as well. I would say it’s a more subtle effect, based on the ce-1 but what it does it does soooo good.
