Covid Break

It was one of my bosses, he knew he'd been exposed, but waited until he got his positive result to stop coming to the shop , he also didn't tell anybody he was being tested either, gave to me, the two big bosses and another employee, one of the big boss was touch and go for awhile

That has got to be pretty infuriating. Hopefully that boss is held responsible for their callous disregard for all of the employees and the company.

Wishing you the best, Barry. Take care of yourself and like others said: don't wait to go to the hospital if things change at all. I have an aunt who died from complications of COVID and my neighbor across the street lost her mother to it as well.

Maaan I hate that.

I used to work with a woman who would lie about not being sick... She'd be coughing and gagging but swear it was just "sinuses".
She knew that if she showed up to work sick I would clock out and go home...

And of course, she was one of those types of people who like to get right up in your face while talking.

This really sucks. I hope you are on the peak of this and that going forward things will improve. There’s nothing worse than idiots who wont stay home when they are sick. Even during non-pandemic times. That person should be held liable.

While this is true, all of us should have been more diligent about wearing our PPE at the shop instead of assuming everyone had the intelligence to do the right things

I just saw this thread. Here's wishing you a complete and speed recovery. Every time I cough, I worry, and I take all the precautions. They're vaccinating the health care workers and 1st responders around here, hopefully they'll get to the rest of us soon. The upside for you is when you come out of this, you'll be immune. Hang in there, buddy.

Wow, that sux mate. Get well soon. I guess you could say I have no idea what it's like, here in the middle of OZ with the nearest city 3 hours away.
I hope you improve, and get the help, support and rest you need. Hang in there.

Going back to work tomorrow, probably just half days at first, still have some fatigue and cough most likely due to some asthma I've had for years, but no issues with recently until this wrecked my lungs, couple of inhalers are helping with that
Good to hear you're on the mend.

Oh wow. Sorry to hear all this. Glad you're starting to feel better. Hopefully there are no long term effects.

Hi Barry, hoping you're doing well. The only lingering thing I have is that I seem to get all stuffed up, like a bad allergy, at random and lasts for about 12-24 hours. I've had it happen 3 times now since I recovered 2+ months ago. I've since recovered my taste/smell and other than a few back pains (I'm freshly turned 63 so it's hard to point fingers at the virus) all is good.
