Creamery build. Lower noise to signal tips?

Just built the creamery. While I like it, I was wondering if anyone had tips on quieting. When I crank it up, there’s a bit of added noise, but when it’s off it’s quiet. Power supply? Thanks

sounds like a compressor compressing to me. any compressor will be noisier if you crank it up, because it's taking that quiet, barely audible noise in your signal chain, and compressing it so it's louder. A noise gate before the compressor should do the trick most likely.

Good to know, I had this one on my wish list. Just because, not because I needed another compressor, heh. But yah, my other VCA compressor is a bit noisy compared to my optical ones. (MBP Oracle - Boss CS-3))

Thanks for your input. I’ve never owned a compressor and am picky about noise. I’ll look around this forum so more for ideas on reducing noise, in general, as my build collection grows.
