Dark rift noise

Hey all,

I am getting a repeating noise in the tempo of the time knob. I have added a recording, I've put the mix knob to 100% for the whole mix.

You can hear the noise goes faster or slower depending on the time knob being turned.

It's not as loud as it appears on the recording and interestingly, it isn't really effected by messing with gain or volume on my amp. Pedal is in the fx loop.

Also, a v loud pop when I turn the pedal on.


I'm wondering if it's my power source? I don't have an alternative to try it with annoyingly. Using a cheapy Amazon power brick.

I think the noise might be related to your wiring. When the input and output wires are close together or close to board components they can pick up noise. Try pulling the 2 white wires away from the boards and caps. Sometimes I use copper tape and just tape them to the side of the enclosure. For the foot switch I would try to reduce the amount of wiring. The way it lines up you could probably just strip some wire and run it like this.

It almost sounds like your pt2399 is motorboating. Have anymore to try?
