The dirt expedition continues…
I didn’t dive into tweaks and mods. The only difference from the BOM is a C500 for gain.
I’m trying to make the insides cleaner on my builds. Getting the wires close to the board went ok. When I get low on my current supply of solder, I’m planning on getting some with flux that is easier to clean up and doesn’t just smear all over.
I went a bit off-center when I drilled. Unfortunately, it sticks out on this build with the big ol’ knobs. But it’s not too bad.
First I tried it out on my usual test amp, a princeton-like knockoff. It sounded ok, but I could tell it’s one of those pedals that wants some of that british breakup. And I had read that before too. I concur- that is where it shines.
Overall, I’m glad I built it. I may audition it on my pedalboard for a few weeks.
